Top Four:
1. Edina
2. Eden Prairie
3. Blaine
4. Duluth East
Bottom Four (Yes, they should seed all eight)
5. Hill-Murray
6. Moorhead
7. Cretin-DH
8. Rochester Century

Top 4 is easy:
1. Edina (see previous arguments for why Edina beats out EP)
2. EP
3. Blaine (same record, beat East)
4. East
5. Moorhead (Beat H-M in last regular season game)
6. Cretin (Play in tougher conference AND have less losses than H-M)
7. H-M (They lost to Richfield!!!)
8. Century
What a great tournament this is shaping up to be. According to Lee's and Mitch's power rankings, 7 of the top 14 AA teams made it! In Mitch's - 4 of the top 6, Lee's 4 of the top 7. I think everyone can complain about how some sections are more worthy or have more great teams, but in all of sports, this is bound to happen. There is always one weak division winner that makes the playoffs and a strong division that can only send one team (see NFL, MLB)
That being said, and yes I am from the SE part of the state - Century could give any of the top seeds a decent game. They did beat East (I know, I know, Tardy and Cooper didn't play). I think Moorhead could beat the top seeds. And, even though it PAINS me to write this, Hill and Cretin could win too. Both of their goalies are capable of keeping their teams close.
I can't wait for Thursday! My annual trip to St. Paul and two days off from teaching!

WOW! A State Championship! A Third Place! And A Colsolation Championship! This in the last ten seasons! Add another 3rd place finish in 1992. There aren't many teams that have accomplished more than what the Bengals have.Since95 wrote:In my opinion it should be this:

Although, this is biased. East and Blaine both have identical records and Blaine has a win over East. I still just don't buy Blaine. Sure they crushed Centennial tonight, but usually they get to the tournament and fail to do anything. I don't see them getting by Edina or Eden Prairie either, regardless of if they get the 3 or 4 seed. So, the 3 and 4 seeds could be switched. Either way, if all four of them win, it's going to be a fun semifinal Friday night.
