and probably Hermantown (or perhaps Cloquet - believe the game is tonight - Monday) winner plays Duluth East for #1 - has to beat them twice.

who will win out of the north region for Bantam A

Post by hockeystar101 »

First of all congrats to all that made it to the regional tournaments
but I have to ask how or who did Crookston beat to make it in the regionals I had an opportunity to watch them a couple of time throughout the season and I am asking myself how in the world did they make it from what I saw there are pewee A teams that are better than them I just cannot picture them playing a Roseau Grand Rapids and like A power house that Duluth is these scores are going to be outrageous in fact I for see 12-0 to a 15-0 in all of there games you cannot tell me that there is not a better team up north that can represent D16 What has happen to Northern Hockey? :(

Never seen them play, are they hosting districts or regions? Perhaps they get a free participation pass?

Post by hockeystar101 »

you are probably right they must be hosting regionals but my god looking at there record it does not look like they have won 10 games this year I did not think you get a free pass just because you are hosting but I could be wrong I just can't see why they would want to get embarassed believe me they are really bad I don't think they won a district game this season

Apple Valley out of D6 will be in the east region. Either Burnsville or Minnetonka will join them

D8 will be decided by Sunday.

L South, Eagan, Woodbury all won first round games and are in semi's. Roch vs CG ppd yesterday because of storm will be made up tonight. Winners of semi's onto Regions. Losers to go through conso bracket for #3 seed.

Typically the host team get's a free pass to the tournement. There would likely be little interest among the MANY volunteers (mainly parents) who help host tournements if they didn't have a team involved...how else are they going to do it?????

North Region

Elliott,

The schedule posted on the MH websites says that the games in Crookston on Friday are played in rink 1 on and on rink 2 on Saturday. Is that just a mis-print? It seems odd to me that a region tournament would be played in two different rinks. Even if they are under the same roof.
