Rght now you gotta go with wayzata Blue only one loss... thats unheard of.

But watch out for Sauk Rapids who gave Wayzata Blue their only loss. They've hit a hot streak at the perfect time.

I heard that Wayzata Blue was missing one of their top players during their game against Sauk Rapids. We were up at the Moorhead tournament and they had a player sitting on the bench with ice on his neck. Those two teams are closely matched, none the less.

tricky question...

Post by Who else? »

3 of the four on this list will all be facing off in the west regions... so it's tough to say. Add Wayzata Gold to the mix and the probability goes down even further.

Duluth East's schedule basically doesn't have them tested until state tourney game #8 on March 21st.

Going to be some great matchups at the West Regional.

Anoka March 6-8th

Don't count out Elk River coming out of D10 as well. They can be tough - solid goalie as well.

Duluth would actually be the #2 seed out of the north region if they win all there games.

State

Post by Who else? »

Correct Hawk. I should've said game #7 on 3/21 of state.

DE's first state game would be against the #1 seed from the South Region. Unless my facts are incorrect... they have no possibility of playing a top 20 team between now and March 21st.

This means only two key victories gets them the title... imagine that?

Not sure what bee has got into your bonnet about DE, but you're certainly taking it to them on quite a few forum topics. They have played roughly 11-12 games against 7 of the teams in the last top 20 and won more than half of them. Sorry if we beat you and that's the problem. We're having fun and if we get to the end of March, we'll have fun then too. If you're not sure of the record or schedule it may be best not to comment on it.

Two things:
1) My latest comment was that you would face no top 20 teams (based on current LPH rankings AND the teams listed in your districts and regions) until 3/21. It's JUST an interesting fact (not speculation) based on circumstances beyond your control... right? Not many teams can say this and I'm not sure there's a rip anywhere in there on 'your favorite team'. The topic was "Who will win Bantam B1 State...". Don't you think this information is relevant when it comes to DE?

2) One other topic - I (IMO) ranked Sauk Rapids over DE. I gave them recognition just as I have for DE. You stated they had faced little competition (hmm) and a win over Wayz Blue was insignificant.

So, why are you always so defensive? Nervous? Not sure why... you have a fairly easy road ahead.

We're all having fun too... so "Sorry if WE beat you and that's the problem."

not defensive at all, just trying to figure your comments out. and not nervous. I think your rip was saying that DE hasn't or isn't playing anyone of significance and they were going to ride into state at the last minute- similar to your no depth and complete game comment. I gave Sauk Rapids credit for their win over Wayzata and said they looked like a good team (better than when we beat them 4-0 in regions last year), and wished we would have been able to play them during the year. We all know that anything can happen, so we're not looking at it as an "easy road". Congrats for beating us (though we don't know what team that was) we usually learn from those. We look at the entire season, not two days of district playoffs (or even league games for that matter) to see if we've been successful. I think we've done all right. Apparently LPH does too.

Looks like we have an Elk River Sympathizer out in the crowd

Why doesn't Duluth post there game scores like everybody else, then you could do a little more talking and a little less backpedaling. That would be nice so everybody could see what the competation has been, and maybe quiet some people up that are against Duluth. Just a thought to help Duluth 8) .

oh hardly an Elk River fan...Rapids all the way...

Just know that they are a tough team when they want to be...

also saw OMG beat Wayzata Gold 4-3
and Big Blue beat Big Navy 3-1

so its OMG vs Big Blue for Championship

and Gold and Navy go to the left side of the bracket to battle back...
Loser of the Championship game heads to left for the final spot in Regions.

SR 8-2 over St Cloud
SR 4-1 over Spring Lake Park

Blaine on Saturday and heading to the championship game on Sunday (likely vs Elk River).

Because DAHA is made up of about 8-9 different rink associations and two at the peewee/bantam level and someone there would have to be somewhat organized to do it. Occasionally a team has done it on their own. We actually don't interact much on these forums at any level. DE gets flak at every level from H.S. all they way down. Most of the time it's by people who know nothing about the program.

Haven't seen Burnesville play yet...

OMG got knocked out today by Wayzata Gold.

Wayzata Blue & Wayzata Gold move on from D3
Sauk Rapids, Elk River, & Blaine move on from D10

To the West Regional in Anoka next weekend.

Sauk Rapids wins D10 with 3-0 win over Elk River today...

Giving up just 4 goals and scoring 22 goals in 4 games.

I truly think that Eagan Blue should be included in this discussion as they have gone 16-0 in District play and swept away the competition in a very strong District tournment. They have a couple of players that can really take over a game, and the rest of their lineup is very solid. #15 looks like he could be playing High School hockey for a lot of schools across the state. I havent seen them play some higher end B1 teams, but I have to believe that they are going to hold there own against anyone.

I think you mean Wayzata Blue or Gold not Navy...

Navy was knocked out at districts.
