SECTION FINALS A & AA - YOUR PREDICTIONS

Here is your last opportunity to demonstrate your wisdom, knowledge and most importantly LUCK before this year's State Tournaments. We will do all 16 Section Final games but in four groups, which will be posted after each day's semifinal action. Please post your predictions for each grouping in the order listed by the deadline for that set of games. Otherwise, the same rules for accumulating points will apply - one for each winner picked plus a possible two bonus points for each correct score.

The first day (tomorrow, Feburary 18th) has just one game, and with so little time that's probably a good thing. After this first one things ramp up quickly, with 3 on the 19th, 6 on the 20th and the final 6 on the 21st. Look for a large set of games to be posted after the results of many semi-final games are in later tonight.

I really thought I might look like a genius tonight. The EP-Edina game was 1-1 going into the third period, and Shakopee gave 'Tonka all they could handle.... The Saber netminder really kept them in the game.

An entertaining night of hockey in 2AA...

I went to the first game, EP hung in there until Edina kind of took control in the opening minutes of the 3rd, scoring two beautiful goals where the young EP goalie (8th grader, who played excellent all game) virtually had no chance. I thought Minnetonka would have a little easier time with Shakopee, even knowing that Shako had been playing very well lately.

Should be a very good final, Edina vs. Minnetonka. I'll have to think about that one...
