Tardy? Should be in the finalist group for MR HOCKEY!
He is a finalist. If you mean he should be in the top 5, I'm pretty sure they don't narrow it down that far anymore. He has definitely played well lately, though.
And yes...Tardy has my vote, so far!

Also, my vote, but I haven't seen a couple of the other candidates play.

Nice meeting you last night at the game, Tuck. Good luck to the Raiders in the playoffs.

Does anyone care about the High school program in Hastings? When is it time for a change to be made? Are there not enough big names in that town to run this guy out of town. This town had such a promising program, where are the names like Chorney, Sykes, Horsch, Stepan, do these people care that they are being laughed at. I thought that these guys had kids still coming threw the program? I can not believe that these guys would put up with this crap. What is the problem, is it the youth or is the problem the High school coach? ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, i would be someone that cares. I'm not sure about any of the people you mentioned. As far as i know they all left for greener pastures. Why would they care anymore? All i know is i've been a Hastings fan all my life. At this point there is alot more bad about the WHOLE program than there is good. I will say this. As i said in an earlier post. The youth in our town have not won many championships over the year's nor have they really been very close. All i know is they haven't been that bad. What my question would be is Why when they get to varsity do they always fall apart? It seems to me that alot of the good younger players never improve under Welch. That to me is the #1 reason why this years team has stumbled once again. No improvement or leadership from the kids who played last year. Exception Gliesner. I've also heard grumblings now that a few of the good younger players coming up may not be around by the time they get to varsity. Who can blame them?
I mentioned this before as well. As long as i can remember since Welch has been here other than a few exceptions we start out maybe winning a few games we shouldn't ,than by season's end were in the tank and don't improve. That's coaching. Plain and simple.
I for one also think it's time for a change and has been for some time. Our A.D has no back bone and so i'm afraid were going to be forced to live with Welch until he himself decides to go. Doesn't seem right to me.
I also heard that there may be a petition soon? We'll see. The problem with that is in a smaller town like we have even though many of the players and parents talk behind welch's back who's really going to have the seeds to stand up and oust this guy? Again we'll see.
