Also hard to believe Duluth lost since Hopkins has played both Duluth and PHM and there was no question that I thought Duluth is the better. Oh well, this is what happens in one and done.
Joe, You can't read too much into the Hopkins-PHM game in january. The PHM goalie was just back from a serious knee injury and obviously not at her best. PHM actually out shot Hopkins for what it's worth. I do give hopkins alot of credit for taking advantage of their opportunities.
BigTen you've got to be kidding me. Were you even at the game? You can't just look at shots and say the game was close, cause it wasn't, as the score indicates (7-3). Hopkins played both teams at least once and I saw all of them and Duluth was MUCH more difficult to play against.......without question. The Hopkins girls and fans are VERY glad to see both GRG and Duluth exit a chance for State, now we just need to take care of our business to make through Sections. We only had 3 losses all season and 2 of those teams just exited.

Joe, PHM outshot Duluth 35-15 in the first game with them and 28-19 in todays playoff game. The only thing about Duluth that is better than PHM is their goaltending.
Without this game included, there are 4 correct scores today:
nmnhockeydad and joehockey correctly picked the Eagan-Rosemount score (4-2), and
neutralregroup and Dmandad1980 each got the 3-2 Cloquet upset over GR/G.
Standings will be posted once the Eastview/Burnsville score is known.
Just a reminder for some who may have overlooked posting their scores for Sections 1AA and 2AA. These games are shown on the previous page or you can copy and paste from my post above.
Plenty of time yet, but here are the contestants that still have semi-final section games not yet posted:

neutral, right now there's only two others ahead of you, and you're talking about having to play catch-up?
Gotta admire, though, the way you're going against the conventional "wisdom" for many of your picks. It sure paid off for you on Saturday when you said Cloquet 3, GR/G 2!

I was always told that "second place is another name for first loser". I play to win, even if it means picking some teams that should have already been knocked out.... according to some.
This should be a fun week of hockey. It has been a while since the field has been this wide open, in class A & AA.
