Elizabeth Huss - Silver Bay Mariner

Post by snapdog »

Last evening I was treated to one of the greatest performances by a High School Athlete that I have ever seen. Biz Huss was electric from her first shift to the last. She tallied 7 pts total. 3 goals and 4 assists in 2 Periods. But that was not what impressed me most. She won almost every race to every loose puck on the rink and played the best 2 way game I have seen in a long long time. Biz did not see the ice for more than 1 shift in the 3rd period. Silver Bays Coach Mike Guzzo skated his 3rd and 4th lines as the game was in running time. A Class move indeed. This is a quality well balanced team top to bottom and well coached team from Silver Bay. I not being from there wishes them the best in the Section Playoffs which start next week.
Do I have to shadow Pavelich again coach?

against Superior Wisconsin who scored 4 goals in 7 games against some Minnesota teams... while giving up 67... I'm sure she played great but she better against teams like that...

What is this? A positive post? It can't be.

You mean the parents and players on the 1st and 2nd lines aren't upset that their ice time was cut short? Where's the outrage?

Northshore Guy you missed the whole point. I could care less about points or stats. I do like points that come from grinding and hard work and that was what impressed me most about Elizabeth Huss last evening.

my response was not intended to be negative... SB/TH/CC is a good program and Guzzo does a nice job- I've seen them play up north and at the Schwan Cup...

I was merely stating that a team like SB/TH/CC should destroy that team with 3rd/4th lines

Northshore Guy thanks for posting that Box Score. I clearly misinterpreted your meaning on your initial response.
