Wow what a topsy turvey world we live in. Check it out.

1 Wayzata - Took back control of the #1 spot
2 Rochester - With the top Keeper, has shown they belong
3 Lakeville South - big weekend shows improvement
4 Duluth - faltering down the stretch here
5 Eagan - with OMG and Rogers taking a fall they move up by default
6 Osseo Maple Grove - Knocked around this week
7 Rogers - hard weekend knocks them down
8 Edina - quick team that can be on top
9 Apple Valley - Good weekend, can be a top team
10 Centennial - Beat OMG, then tied EP
11 Minnetonka - a solid team that can compete
12 White Bear Lake - Also beat OMG, maybe the grovers are too high
13 Woodbury - Can''t put them higher than the bears
14 Burnsville - good not great team in district 6
15 Minneapolis Park- a guaranteed state birth, but still not a top team
16 Moorhead - Good team up north but not a contender in the cities
17 Bloomington Jefferson -
18 Roseville -
19 Chaska -
20 Eden Prairie -

CNF -

I like what you have put up and wouldn't change much. So no ConditioningSucks powerrankings this week....CNF is good enough for me.

Cyclones....the win over Rogers was great, but playing Wayzata tight doesn't mean much (you need to win...Wayzata could have had players hurt, sick, or frankly weren't pumped up to play you). Losses to Roseville, Chaska, and Roseau in the last month put you on the outside looking in. Beat some more highly ranked teams and you will get attention.

where is the Bantam state tournament this year?

There are IMO 2 top teams in the state, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of 10-12 are playing for the championship. Should be a great round for those that make it.

Well considering Tartan just tied Duluth East, beat Stillwater and gave both Lakeville South and Mpls/Park very good games I think they could also make some noise come playoff time.

Yet Tartan lost to Superior 4-0 last weekend. So they are up and down like alot of teams.

Not a great weekend for bantam A hockey, but a few changes here. This week will be winding down district play in a lot of places and we will see how things shake out.

1 Wayzata - Hands down #1 right now, will anyone challenge in District 3
2 Rochester - Will be in a tough district tourney, and region
3 Lakeville South - Big win over Rochester Keeps them at 3, but can't put them at 2
4 Duluth - Will they be battle tested after district play?
5 Eagan -
6 Osseo Maple Grove - Good game vs Shattuck
7 Rogers - Still on top of District 10, till Tuesday????
8 Apple Valley -
9 Edina - drops a game to EP
10 Centennial - big test tuesday vs Rogers
11 White Bear Lake - bears must be playing better with win over OMG and tight game with Trojans
12 Minnetonka - ties Prior Lake?? then beats Burnsville
13 Woodbury - no big scores yet
14 Burnsville -
15 Minneapolis Park-
16 Moorhead -
17 Bloomington Jefferson -
18 EP - good couple of weeks moves them up the rankings
19 Chaska -
20 Stillwater - all the lobbing works, plus a couple of good scores help

Teams to look out for in district tourneys....
Roseville, Tartan, Hastings, Bemidji, Roseau, Anoka, East Grand, Grand Rapids

Chuck:

Great review as usual!!! Just an opinion but believe Lakeville South should be ranked ahead of Rochester. South traveled to Rochester this past week and beat them on their home ice........that moves them ahead of Rochester in my book.

District 8 playoffs are going to be beast this year.......South, Eagan, Woodbury, etc.......

Should be interesting indeed, 3 teams in the top 5, 4 teams in the top 13, Rochester, LSouth, Eagan, Woodbury. Eagan ranked #5 in state, may finish fourth in the district, but will have home ice. And I don't think anyone will want to play Cottage Grove (three tight games with South, tie vs. Woodbury), or Hastings in a playoff format

Any of these teams can win D8. Woodbury has beaten Eagan 6-1 and just held them to 1-0 win 10 minutes into the third period. Woodbury also had a 1 goal loss to Roch. Red. South has a great 1st line with the best powerplay I've seen this year. If you can stay out of the box, they're beatable and they lost to Stillwater recently. Cottage Grove lost to Woodbury on Saturday 4-2 and weren't ever really in the game. Hastings always comes to play in the District tourney. No foregone conclusions as to who advances here.

one game does not a season make...... in other words if you look at the seasons as a whole Rochester is still the more consistant and better team. However I would not put any money on the line when these two meet again.

Maple Grove rebounded nicely from a tough week a week ago with a 3-3 tie of Wayzata as well as a 7-1 romp over WBL

Great tourney in WBL, leads to some new standings. Looks Like a lot of teams have a shot at the title this year.

1 Wayzata - tight game with OSM means the district tourney should be fun
2 Duluth - stepped up their game this weekend and played like the team we thought they were
3 Lakeville South - Good team, look for them to make noise
4 Rochester - showed they are beatable this weekend in WBL
5 Osseo Maple Grove - Had the easier rout to title game but came up short to East
6 Eagan -
7 Apple Valley - still tops in D6
8 Edina -
9 Centennial - Defeats Rogers, and EP and plays tough against Rochester
10 White Bear Lake - did not show vs OMG but played well on studay beating centennial
11 Rogers - May still win D10 but a surging Centennial squad beats them 4-2
12 Minnetonka - 1 goal loss to Apple valley, shows they have potential
13 Woodbury - not great in WBL tourney
14 Burnsville -
15 Minneapolis Park-
16 Moorhead - 2nd best team north of the metro
17 Bloomington Jefferson - this team is all over the board i don't know what to make of them
18 EP - well they beat johnson...
19 Chaska -
20 Stillwater -
