I don't see Pitlick scoring three goals vs. Edina's D.

Good match of two top teams. Both teams are big, mature and physical.

He got two against East's D which is arguably better than Edina's.

People will pick Centennial

Post by O-townClown »

Edina's not invincible, but are these threads necessary? People that always pick against Edina will call for the upset. Eventually they might be right, but more often the picks look silly with each 3 or 4 goal win. Holy Angels, Benilde, Blaine, next.
Be kind. Rewind.

I voted Centennial because I'm a Homer. But...if Edina is clicking, nobody beats them. Even if they are not, they are still very tough to beat. Hill Murray did it and Centennial beat them. So it can be done. Two very great lines. Probably the best two first lines in the state. Two very good goalies. I've seen Edina twice and Centennial 5 times. Being that the Hornets will have home ice, I'd give the advantage to them. But would not be surprised if the Cougars overcome!

I agree. If Edina plays the game that they're capable of playing than nobody in the state beats them. It's as simple as that.

I totally agree with you !!! Being this is a home game for the Hornets I think that they will take care of business as usual. Edina wins this one by two.

On the other hand I think Centennial should be focusing on beating a very good Blaine team before thinking about eating any cake!!

Is Pit back from vacation?

Post by MoveYourFeet »

Pitlick is away on vacation for 2 weeks, will he be back in time? If not can Shriener fill the center spot on the Hess/Lovick line??

Too early to talk.

Can we call it an upset though? I know Edina is ranked higher but isn't this just two of the states best goin at it? What if Edina beat Jefferson, would this be an upset?

Back to the game. If Edina brings their A game, they will win, and I hold that true for just about any game they play.

Edina 3 Centennial 2

I am an idiot. #-o I was wondering why a player would take a vacation during the middle of the season.
