WCHA moratorium

Post by elliott70 »

This is a college post but I know some don't make it over there.

WCHA today (1/15) voted to end their moratorium on adding new teams at the bequest of Bemidji State University.

BSU will apply in March to be admitted as the 11th team into the WCHA.

As a current Student at Bemidji State, I did not know this, but I had Assistant Coach Bert Gilling as a prof, and I knew they were trying...that is going to be fun next year.

I for one hope they can get in...it'll be great for Minnesota hockey all around. Having another WCHA school in Minnesota (to join St. Cloud, Mankato, Duluth and the U) can only help Minnesota hockey.

Well, they play almost all the WCHA teams anyways, so why not just put them in the WCHA? It surely couldn't hurt their attendance.
