Must be pretty rural if the OP is asking about their gardening skills.

Either they are rural or the hoe's are from the 'hood.

Regardless, the state should be sending them additional funds for their schools to make sure the hoe's get a good edgumacation and don't end up gardening on the streets for money.

ROGERS HOCKEY

Post by GQHOCKEY »

ROGERS IS LOCATED SOUTH OF ELK RIVER & WEST OF MAPLE GROVE.THE HOCKEY PROGRAM IN ROGERS IS A JOKE! YOU HAVE THE "JOE SIX PACK" FATHERS AS COACHES THAT HAVE NEVER PLAYED HOCKEY THEMSELFS.THE PLAYERS STARTING AT THE MITE LEVEL SQUIRT,AND PEEWEE LEVEL ARE BETTER SKATERS THEN THEIR COACHES SO WHAT DOES THAT TELL YA.THE A-BANTAM TEAM HAS BEEN COACHED FROM A EARLY AGE BY ONE PERSON WHO IN MY OPINION IS THE ONLY PERSON WITH ANY HOCKEY KNOWLEDGE AT ALL. THE TEAM IS VERY STRONG AND I BELIEVE THIS PERSON HAS PLAYED HIMSELF.MY DAD LIVES THERE AND HE IS GLAD THAT I DONT.

Wow is right. This is a good team for Rogers and might be the start of the future who knows, but I am interested in what program you play for that has such "great coaches"?

LETS DEFINE "GREAT COACHES" Leadership,Direction, knowledge, are jist some words that best describe "GREAT COACHES", But iam sure that if i were to teach your job that you do every day by watching it on tv or reading books that i would totally understand the ins and outs of the job. I just think to teach the game you should play the game big difference...........
p.s Our teams are always in the top 5 from mites to high school. That pretty much speaks for itself. :P

In the "Coaching from the Stands for Dummies" book.

Here is an excerpt from Chapter 1:
LETS DEFINE "GREAT COACHES" Leadership,Direction, knowledge, are jist some words that best describe "GREAT COACHES"

Another great line from the book that describes the type of coaches that, after reading you can bash:
"YOU HAVE THE "JOE SIX PACK" FATHERS AS COACHES THAT HAVE NEVER PLAYED HOCKEY THEMSELFS

It's funny what kind of post you see when schools are out for the day

I believe Craig Dahl (fromer SCSU Div. 1 coach) never played hockey as a youth. Also I didn't know that there was a statewide mite league.

I see that GQHOCKEY must have moved away to attend a better school system since english speak you well not.

GQ what are tomorrow's power ball #'s, since you seem to be all knowing in your young age (JR High I'm guessing). I can tell that you know who has played and who hasn't just by their screen name.

to use your favorite line, .....LETS DEFINE your storied career with "great coaches" that helped you acheive top 5 teams from mites on up. I think when you fill us in it will PRETTY MUCH SPEAK FOR ITSELF

My Kid Loves Hockey: Hmm did that hit home? You must be one those "Joe six-packs"??? By looking at your screen name; you look to be living your dream of playing hockey vicariously through your kid. Let me guess??? Your kid is probably on 1st starting line, power play and captain of the team not because of talent but because why?? It must be very very frustrating that the players can skate better than you! Gotta run...gotta go buy that Powerball ticket-it's a big one. If you research the powerball numbers like you research for your select teams you will have no problem....or better yet, maybe you can just steal them from someone.

GQ you didn't answer Fire & Ice yet. What storied progam are you part of?

Actually it's more like a 12 pack if you must know. I just go out there and chase pucks when they go to the other end of the rink.

Really my kid is on the 3rd line, no special teams and no captain in his future, he just struggles to keep up to the play.

Did you not get asked to a selects team? I'm sure your parents can buy your way on one if you want.

GQ you're in no position to be trashing an association so young, especially if you don't know any coaches or any of the families from the program. Are you a 94 by any chance?

I will say that Rogers is pretty good but when you see them play you have to think how they win so many games. All this team does is shoot it up and out of the zone and have one kid usually on the opponents blue line. Usually #96. They also try to take the other team out of its game and it usually gets the other team frustrated. Although they do turn the puck over and play below average defense I could see them going far in the state tournament.

Boy, something must to happened to this poor boy. Must not have got enough that-a-boys from is father(6pack)coach from selects. I guess if your dad coaches you don't have to pay to play on the first line and wear the C.

I am curious as to what games you have seen them play this year. I have watched some of their games against quality opponents and have not seen what you are talking about. Granted when they play a lesser team they tend to fly the zone, but that is because they can. Their defense is solid with some big guys and some skilled guys.

On another note they beat champlin last night 5-1 with the game getting nasty in the third period. champlin seemed to start up most of the scrums and rogers seemed to finish them when they lost their fair play point. And currently these two would match up in the first round of districts and I can imagine rogers would pound them simply to send a message.
