I think you've nailed it.

To me, the top 5 are as even a top 5 as we've seen in a long time. I don't think at this point in the season that HM is that far above #2 thru #5.

I agree the top 5 are close, but i think you have to put Centenial and East right next to each other, just based on insanely even game when they faced off.

You rank East #1 and Centennial not even in the top 10...no question why you were a 4th liner.

Yeah I guess some people's opinons vary. Centennial could maybe squeek in at #10 on my poll. Don't count on it though.

I dont see East as a great team this year. they have really good talent, but you cant win on talent alone.

So what do you see as East's non-talent-related shortcomings?

No. I see them as a team that can make it far this year, but will not be able to play with teams like Edina and Hill. So having them at first is not right. They also lost to Ep this year in a scrimage, which shows they cant play with metro teams.

Huh. I wasn't aware Centennial wasn't a metro team.

Okay. So let me get this straight. When you play a scrimage you dont play like it's a game? If I was a coach I would want my kids to try in a scrimage.

You usually roll all of your lines in a scrimmage; not very realistic.

Or Minnetonka. Or Wayzata.

Granted neither of these teams are Hill or Edina, but East played rather horribly in both of them (especially the Tonka game) and still won, holding the two a combined 0-for-15 on PPs. They tied Centennial in a dead-even game.

I'd agree they haven't earned a number one ranking yet, but this team has allowed 3 goals in 6 games. They're for real.

Tonka and Wayzata are nothing special.

I did say though that East is a good team, and I will say that they have the best defence, but I just dont see them as the Number1 team in state.
(The Best 4th Liner rankings.) I do bet that they make it to state and far but they will not win state.

From what I've seen East and Edina are the favorites and teams like Centennial and Hill are right behind, they just lack the horses to win six straight in sections and state. AHA, Jefferson and EP are very, very good as well. It seems the talent is down this year overall though, especially in the SEC.
