Game over. 2-2. If only high school had a shootout....
I went to a fight, and a hockey game broke out.

Looks like it must have been a great game. Obviously these two are very well-matched and deserving of their high rankings. Hopefully it will just fuel the two of them in their next games, and there's certainly a chance of a rematch in a few months.

Thank you to my committee of updaters!

Would have liked to have seen that one go to another ot or a shootout. East needs to watch those undisciplined penalties, as it could have cost them in overtime. Great play by both goaltenders.

Same here it was a great game but the MSHSL should have a shootout that would make things exciting..

Great Game

This was one hell of a game to watch. Thanks to FSN for putting this game on the schedule. Pace was phenominal from start to finish. Let the meatheads at MSHSL know that reduction of games (to 22) is just plain NUTS! Cut underwater basket weaving and leaves the greatest sport ALONE!

Ditto Northwoods!!! Well said, that was a great game, and if cut hockey games then there is a very good chance that we could miss out on good games like these.

Great game to watch.

Seemed like Tamasy was afraid to shoot. Every time he got he puck he passed it right back.

great game especially for fsn hockey night. centennials sophomore tender larson had a huge game tonight in only his 4th game. if he continues to grow and get better the cougars will be tough to beat come section time  duluth east looked very impressive however. forbort is worth watching.

Fun game to watch. Was impressed by the speed of the little guys from East. Got knocked off the puck some but you had to catch 'em first. Some nice passes and tips in front of the net. Pitlick looked strong and calm. East's penalty kill was clearly stronger than Centenniel's power play. Very aggressive and Centenniel didn't adapt to that well. Lots of carrying the puck into traffic and chasing it back to their own end after it was taken away and cleared.

Well done, boys! I don't know what FSN's ratings are for this, but I sure love it. Probably get higher ratings than the Timberwolves right now.

Great game, East only had 1 power play to Centennials 3. Pitlick looked excellant. He seemed to be able to get free more than I thought he might but this was East's first game on an Olympic sheet. Both goaltenders played well, Centennials goalie looked very composed for a sophmore playing on FSN in a game that was probably watched by a large number of high school hockey fans. These two could meet again in March.

We finally agree 100% on something northwoods oldtimer! I was a great game to watch...and anything less than 25 regular season HS games would be a total joke by the MSHSL!!!

Clearly, both of these teams could make a run at the state championship. I'd love to see a rematch at the X!
