How does this kid get to wear maroon and gold. He is absolutly terrible and I can't stand watching him play. He stands behind the net for 15 seconds and then makes a pass off of the boards, are you kidding me. I understand we need a tough guy but I am asking you The Don please sit him.

I think the Don knows a little bit more about hockey than you. I trust his judgment.

I am not watching, apparently Gopher Hockey doesn't have too much of a fan base out here in the Pacific, but I am listening and they haven't had anything negative to say about him.

So, what do they carry out there this time of year? College and high school football featuring California and Hawaii teams?

They had a ton of high school baseball when we were out there..go Lunas! (Lahainaluna)

All I ever really see is College football from around the country and the NFL. I have to go to the bar to watch anything that even resembles a sporting event. They've got ESPN's Game Plan or whatever they call that so I can see pretty much whatever game I want and the NFL is of course the NFL. Everyone watches every game.

I am guessing Lucia preferred to have a veteran defenseman with size in that game on the road. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Lofquist making his Gopher debut tonight.

Schack isn't bad. He has his role and he generally does fine at it. He probably will never be a guy in the lineup all the time though so I wouldn't get too worked up over it.

when you say "out here in the pacific" do you mean "at the university of minnesota" considering that is where you go to school??

I think that Schack is doing just fine with the gophers. He provides veteran leadership and toughness to a young gophers team.

Did you watch the game against Michigan? TERRIBLE! He was -2 and looked like he wasn't sure what he should be doing out there. 2 of the first 3 goals they scored were purely his fault.

Yeah, he's played a fairly miserable defensive game this year.

After watching gim play a bit, i'll have to say i agree with you. He's not the only gopher defensemen struggling however (R.J. Anderson???)

Well, Don put the two of them together this past weekend, and that did not work out too well...

We may not see much more of Mr. Schack this season, unless injuries force them into it...

Or other circumstances. The Gophs will lose the services of Cade Fairchild (and Schroeder and Hoeffel) while they play in the World Junior Tournament.
