I agree Hutch 4-2 but not an empty net, you have to watch out for that first line of Hutchinson But Reinharts will keep NU in it with 2 goals and some big hits that he has the capability of doing.

If New Ulms goalie shows up to play i think they should take this one but not by much.

I think its going to be a good game with lots of action. I like Hutch at this time of the season but that may change later in the year. I also think that if NUs second line comes to play, they may surprise you. 5 - 4 Hutch

Hutch 4 New Ulm 1

In New Ulm

With Section 3A being so wide open this season in boys' hockey, every win, especially against section opponents, could be important toward securing the top seed heading into the playoffs later this season.

Tuesday in the season opener, Hutchinson took a step toward the goal of the No. 1 seed with a 4-1 win over New Ulm on the road.

Senior Riley Bengtson scored on a 1-on-4 late in the first period before junior Tanner Grina added to the lead with a power play goal off a shot from defenseman Logan Hahn in the second period.

The Tigers added a third goal and a fourth on an empty netter.

Tigers goaltender Zak Swenson made 27 saves in the victory.
