Duluth Denfeld @ Cretin Derham Hall 11-28

Post by HShockeywatcher »

Should be a good match up; Denfeld ended last year #29 on the QRF and Cretin #30.

I forsee an early season unpleasant wakeup call for Denfeld. CDH by 4 or 5.

Denfeld lost a whole lot last season. They got a transfer goaltender which will help but they will struggle to score a lot of goals, especially against AA teams. Might be a tough opener for the Hunters. Keeping this one close will be key confidence wise going into their game against Hastings, a team they should match up a little better with.

i think some teams will be over-looking the hunters this year. they did lose a lot of scoring but i think they have a deeper lineup this year and wont rely on just one line. the hunters could surprise some people. this one should be a close game.

CDH lost to Blaine in the semifinals. They will not be playing for the championship unless the pope intervenes.

CDH starts off the season with a bang and a 6-2 victory.

Why would they play at the Coliseum? CDH plays all their home games at highland, don't they?

I think it was suppose to be a mini Tourney with Hibbing-Virginia-CDH and Hastings, but something fell through late...thus the ice at the Coliseum.

This is confirmed by the mshsl site. Odd considering who those teams are actually playing and that CDH's games this weekend are the only ones there.

CDH 5-2 w/CDH getting at least 5 solid pipes......................so it could have been worse.
