Book Titled-Iron Range Hockey: The Finest Hockey in the USA
I am looking for copies of the book titled - Iron Range Hockey: The Finest Hockey in the USA. The book was written by Bruce Engel, whom I believe was once a writer for the Virgina newspaper. The book is a chronological history of the Iron Range Conference from 1972 - 1983. If anyone has a connection to Bruce Engel or knows how to get some copies of that book I would appreciate any information. I bought 10 copies from him about 10 years ago but have since given those copies away to fellow Iron Range Conference players as I run into them.

Try contacting John Gilbert who has also published some great hockey related books. I believe he's still in the Duluth area. There should be a way to find what you're looking for.Tigers95 wrote:I am looking for copies of the book titled - Iron Range Hockey: The Finest Hockey in the USA. I wouldn't mind a copy of this book myself. I have a borrowed copy - full of excellent information. I've had it for 3 years now.
My lender probably wants it back at some point.
There was one for sale on Amazon.com about a year ago - kicking myself for not grabbing it. If anyone can get in touch with Bruce Engel, I would appreciate a chance to speak with him. This book shoulld be re-published or published digitally - or even perhaps re-released with new chapters for the post 1983 era.

Thanks for the lead east hockey. I hope J. Gilbert can help me out. If you have any ties to the Iron Range Conference during the 70's and early 80's this is a must have book.
