"One Of The Top AAA Invitational Hockey Clubs In The Metro Area And A Proud Member Of The Minnesota United AAA Hockey Alliance ® "
So is it just Easton that is in this or is it still MM, Cyclones and???????????
If your program is in it, step up and admit if it's such a good thing.
It's Back!

From what I have been told the following teams are part of the Showcase Alliance:
Machine
Deuce
Easton Synergy
Easton Stealth
Cyclones
Monopoly
Not quite sure why Minnesota Made would want to do be part of this group???
Will Showcase actually tell the Blades and some of the other better local teams they aren't welcome in any of their tournaments???
If the intent was to stop the dilution of AAA teams by the top teams coming together and forming this Alliance I don't see it.
If the Minnesota Made program is as good as people say it is (which I am not saying that it isn't good or the best) than there shouldn't be a need to partner up with Showcase to leverage a couple of tournaments to protect their players from leaving to other AAA teams. This move makes Minnesota Made seem desperate.
I also don't see this group of teams being able to attract the top teams from around the country and Canada either.
But, that is just my opinion -

Why can't people just let the kids play? All this crap gets old and we're talking summer hockey with kids who obviously love to play the game. I bet if you asked the player's they could careless who they played. It's the people that are running these programs that think they know what's best.
What about the Icemen and Blades? They're not part of this alliance thing...this stuff is crazy? Just let the kids play and whoever wants to play in the tournaments lace them up.
I heard that the RBK teams will have new names and that CCM may be sponsoring them as well as Monopoly. Monopoly has their own facility and will be also using the HB training facility at the Super Rink for training. Easton gets into the mix last year and now CCM is on board with 4-5 teams ('96-'00).

So if everyone else including the Icemen, Duluth teams, Blades and RBK skip the Meltdown this year (set up scrimmages amongst yourselves and other good MN AAA teams - rent ice, hire refs and you're guaranteed better competition for every game - no weak games - and you'll save money), and let the Showcase Alliance and Bernie's teams play one another. I don't think they'll draw any top teams from out of town once word gets out. If this is meant to slow the exit of good players from their club teams, I would wager it will have the opposite affect. You can't force kids to play on your teams. If you're good enough - you don't have too.
