If you're referring to CNT's advice...he's from Rogers! Leave us Bison out of it!
You can understand how it would be assumed, being there are only clowns in Buffalo

Well I suppose it's an easy mistake......for some of us..."clown" would be a compliment!

Then I wake up and check the headlines and see I missed out on the biggest gain in the markets ever. I'm now looking for a window to jump out of - or maybe a scuba dive with sharks. Well, if you waited that long to take action, no wonder you lost huge.
Looks like we've got another crystal ball reader - the 20/20 hindsight variety.
BTW - Any chance Bader's allowed back in - maybe just on the hockey board or maybe after election season? His input is sorely missed. (As are all his eye rolls).
I'd say up early then down 300 to end the day. I'd have to think that we might me in a profit taking cycle for a while where the drastic swings are caused by brokers buying at sub 9000 levels then selling off again at +9500 levels. Buy. Sell. Repeat.
We have some huge market factors coming up, a probable election of a democrat to the Presidency giving all 3 power seats to one party, never a good thing for the markets. this will be closely followed by a predicted terrible Black Friday where many retailers won't make anywhere near the money they need to to make earnings estimates. Just an educated hunch but by December 1st we may be longing for the days when 9000 was a low point.
Hey Nostradumass aka Warren Buffet of MNHOCK aka CNT - Were you along for today's 11% gain in the DJ? See, that's the trouble with timing the market, how do you know when to jump in or out?

AY, if you don't time the market or the individual stock, how do you make money?

Another bear trap today.
Four words - Buy low, sell high.
Either that, or ask CNT....
AY
Doesn't buying low and selling high require..... timing?

Thanks for caring but......
I moved back in when it was at 9k, and yes it's dropped since then... so AY I was in for the gain today, unfortunately I have not recovered from the drop from 9k to near 8k, however I anticipate that my timing will still pay off as the funds I moved back into were at what I thought was about as low as it could go at the time I bought back, either way I bought back at about a 30% discount from what I sold at so in time I will be better off.....at least that's the plan!
