Oct. 24-25 Wisconsin vs. Minnesota-Twin Cities

Post by Zamboni Guy »

On Friday, October 24th the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Golden Gophers will travel east to take on the University of Wisconsin Badgers in a Border Battle match-up that is always one of the most intense and fun to watch series' on the WCHA schedule. The Golden Gophers are coming off of a home and home series sweep of the St. Cloud State University Huskies last weekend while Wisconsin was swept on the road in two high scoring games at the hands of the University of Denver Pioneers.

Thoughts or predictions on this WCHA Border Battle match-up?

I'm going tie on Friday night with a gophs win on Saturday.
I think they keep the good start going.
This is a young team with a very bright future. IMHO
Go Gophers. :)

I think the Badgers have a slight recovery from a rough first week and take one.

Friday night: Gophers 4 Badgers 2
Saturday night: Gophers 2 Badgers 3

So far, not bad...

It is concerning, as was last year, that we can't put the puck away when opportunity arises... lack of sniper syndrome again!

0-10 is unacceptable w/ all these highly gifted kids...

Badgers do not have much up front, hopefully Gophers find resolve and the net, 4-1 Gophers tonight. :D
