Actually, I'm hoping now that we're all broke, fewer Wayzata parents will be able to afford to send their young punks to the PB's private schools, and the Trojans will be able to field competitive teams going forward!Bash Brother wrote:Actually Govs and his friends from Wayzata have agreed to a Bailout plan.Pucknutz69 wrote:Do you think with the fall of Wall Street, Edina will even be able to field a team this year? no cake for the eaters.

Is this then the Gold Division?Neutron 14 wrote:I assume Centennial will be gold.O-townClown wrote:I didn't go all the way back to the beginning of the thread, but if these last few posts are correct we have:
Edina vs. Moorhead
Hill-Murray vs. Minnetonka
St. Thomas Academy
Academy of the Holy Angels
plus two more teams in the GOLD
Edina - Moorhead
Hill-Murray - Minnetonka
White Bear Lake - Centennial
St. Thomas - Holy Angels

When is STA going to get a clue and go AA? If they think they can compete against teams like these, why oh why are they still sitting there with the small schools?O-townClown wrote: Is this then the Gold Division?

What I'd like to know is if anyone called Roseau and invited them down for the tournament. They sure would be fun to have and it would do them a world of good to play this level of competition in a tournament format.

From what i understand Rozo only comes down the Constantinople once a year and they only want to play for a certain tourney.Sparlimb wrote:When is STA going to get a clue and go AA? Looks like Roseau has another stellar holiday tournament set up with LOW, Alexandria, and North St. Paul.Sparlimb wrote:

That's not whining. I was more than happy they were less prepared for the big show last year. As I told my son as we saw H-M lose an ugly game to Minnetonka in the gold championship last year: "You can afford to lose here..."myhockey wrote:Why would Roseau come down there for that tournament? They can stay at home play hockey raise some money and then come down in March to the real tournament....Or maybe the roseau people like to read this message board to see who is whinning that roseau is not in the Schwann cup.

Didn't he play for Freddie Shero in the mid 70's on the Broad Street Bully Flyer team? If not, he sure played that same style....Pioneerprideguy wrote:That "Goon" still owns a state championship medal & lots of great memories of winning it all.AngusYoung wrote:Is that goon, #24, still playing for the Pioneers? Your hanging this years invitees based soley on last years Schwans tournament performance?Pucknutz69 wrote:they won 1st game vs Champlin Park, then lost in a SO to Mahtomedi, then lost in OT to Maple Grove. Funny how Champlin Park is the team that moved up. The JV team won the Bronze divison.
So they are in the right group, but what a drop in teams. Winona? Owatonna? Farmington?
Champlin Park 16-9-1
Stillwater 9-16-1
They're lucky not to be in the Tin Division.
