Of course you could throw in Hazeltine which is playing as one of the hardest courses in the country right now.

The interlauchen secret society. If you got the cash its a filthy set up.

Played Valleywood GC in Apple Valley last week and the guy said the lowest score was a 68 this year. It seems easy but It's a nice and challenging course this time of year. Good Twilight price too!!
Valleywood? Where is that? ive never heard of it. What are they paying you to come on here and promote it?

Just the two legged variety. Its not a "bad" course really, but hardly needs to be mentioned here. Think your local Muni...

I think you're crossing up Eagle Valley with Valleywood there Neut. Eagle Valley is across from Prestwick.

I played Eagle Valley the first week it opened and haven't been there since. At the time, it was still growing in a lot, but it seemed like it would be a decent course when it grew in. Is that not the case?

Valleywood was brutal the one time I played it - I'm not sure they actually have a groundskeeper on staff. It was beat to hell.

Pokegama Golf Course in Grand Rapids is a fairly nice course with relatively low prices

This thread's been dormant for a while so thought I'd fire it back up since we are all going winter stir crazy for golf about now:

Man, no love for Duluth???? Northland Country Club is one of the best in the state! I rank it up there with Interlachen, Minikahda and just below White Bear Yacht Club.

As for farther North, pass up Giants and head to the Wilderness. By far the best Jeff Brauer course in MN! p.s. Jeff is a HUGE hockey fan. Loves the Dallas Stars!

In Brainerd, I wouldn't play either Legacy course for free but WILL PAY to play The Classic, Deacon's and The Preserve.

Also, as hockey fans you'll want to check out Golden Eagle in 50 lakes which is owned by former Gopher and 72 Olympian Bruce McIntosh. He's a great guy who is passionate about golf and hockey. Makes for interesting conversation after the round and it's a good track that's reasonable to play.

Other personal favorites include Rochester G & CC, Dakota Ridge, Alexandria GC, Somerby, Sutton Bay in SD and Windsong Farms.
