Interesting how many "locks" for the league have hardly scored a point and how many kids that went thru the tryouts are at the top of their team in scoring. The selection process for the "locks" in this league needs to be addressed.

I also noticed in the media/scout guide this weekend that there are a few kids that dramatically inflated their stats from last year. I normally assume that these are accurate.

The kid from Rochester on the North Team, 9 games played, ZERO points. I bet there are some skipped over Northern boys who are thrilled. Good call on THAT one Elite Staff!

And why is the Northwest so bad every year?

But how many of them have parents that are as wealthy! Maybe his dad is paying the ice bill?!?! The kid played on a Shattuck bantam team. He had fewer than 10 goals for Lourdes last winter.

Just saw North get bludgeoned by Northeast 7-3. Northeast was fairly impressive, North was not at all. Schmidt stood out for the North, Rendle played pretty solid, Arbour did as well, no one else really bothered to show up. Being the first Elite I game I've been able to see this year, was not as impressed as in years past. Maybe had something to do with the 3rd game in 2 days. Northeast had some very nice players and were definitely the bigger team. That Delisle kid is huge! Pitlick as well. They were for sure the better team today.

That score is a bit of a surprise as North beat Northeast 7-4 last weekend

They missed a lot of All-Conference players from the Northwest Suburban.

Great job by the staff when you have one team at 2-10. They must be enjoying the season and the drives.

I was looking at the stats and saw the same thing. You would think that with the number of North players on that list he would have more assists. He isn't turning into a puck hog is he? That's not a good thing for a team if he is but that may be what he'll have to do this year if someone or a couple players don't step up to help out in LF. However, truly great players make others better and share the glory, right?

Jared Festler Little Falls Jr F 30 71-54-125
Ben Hanowski Little Falls So F 30 40-71-111
...I think he's just forced to play that role for Team North, and probably will have to for LF this season too.

Is it safe to assume that you are in discussion with the league officials to become invested in the process to "get it right"? I know that they are always open to offers of qualified help.

Heck, they may even be willing to have a qualified group take over..

Don't worry, there's plenty of talent for him to dish the puck to in LF.

He better pass, but what else does LF have? Seems like a one man show, 1 other kid playing Elite.

Ya, cause if your team doesn't have players in the "Elite" league, there's no way you can compete.

Sounds like having players in the Elite league is a determining fact of a team's success. And because only the best players were asked to play in the Elite League, we should be able to determine Section winners based on points scored by players in the elite league.
This is helpful - now I know how to Pick-em.

I like that :D But having a few players from the elite league won't hurt anything.
