77-60 is .562 ball.

.562 is between 91 and 92 wins and that's a good projection since the home and away differential has leveled off.

You're not factoring in a tear, good or bad.

I dont Factor in a tear because I dont think one will happen for either team.

CWS hitting is too good and the Twins fine youg starting staff is too good for a collapse by either.

On the other hand, the Twins O and bullpen are too inconsistent to get too hot and ditto CWS D and pitching.

But its now a very short season.

Home games have evened out.

The Twins have to get better work out of their bullpen too play the kind of ball they play. I think if they lose, thats what people will point to.

Crain has given up the winning run in like 3 of his last 4 outings.

Right now , he is worthless and shouldnt be called on.

Guadardo is shaky.

Who will emerge?

This could be the toughest stop on the road trip, however the Jays are Stairless tonight. That'll help.

Hey look, runs after runs.

Lets get some runs, after runs, after runs.

FINAL

Jays pitching faced one over the minimum after the 4th inning

Twins still winless vs. Toronto this season

Good news  the Twins will not have to face the Jays, Yanks, or Ibanez in the playoffs.

Bullpen needs to shore up. We can't keep blowing leads here down the stretch.

Many Factored in this road trip when figuring the Twins chances at the playoffs.

Thanks to the White Sox, the worst they can do now is be 2 back in the division at the end of it.

However, they have played themselves right out af any Wild Card contention.

They are 3-7 in the last 10 games.

Two different teams. No, not the Sox and Twins, the Twins at home and the Twins on the road.

As good as their bullpen was for so many years, its been equally as bad lately.

Can't anybody pitch who sits out there?

Even though The Factor was uncermoniously ship canned by the unfair and imbalanced "bored" admins, it still must be pointed out that it was reported there first that The Repulicans Coming to Minnesota would create some real problems for the Twins playoff hopes.

As the " bored" admins locked out The Factor so they could create their own lame political thread, The Twins went 5-9 on the road trip and were sucking wind at the end, just like The Factor said they would be .....er, I mean reported.

But to be fair and balanced, some expected they'd be 3 or more back at the end of the trip. Only 1.5 is manageable.

But no matter where they play, thats as bad as I remember a Twins team looking for a long time. Ugly.

Gardy looks a little shell shocked and the club looks like they are proving what ole Gary Gaetti once said: "Its hard to field a ground ball and throw out the runner with both hands wraped around your throat."

Last time they sucked this bad earlier in the season, didn't they go on a tear shortly after?

Some thoughts (f/k/a Talking Points):

Everybody says:"If you aren't going to sign him, trade him and get something for him..dont just let him go"

If the Twins didnt do that with Santana, where would they be today? Did they trade away a World Series for "the future" ?

Why were all these call ups in the games in TOR? This is a Boofin pennant race not a "lets look at next year" time.

Punto is exposed at shortstop.

Span is finding his level

Cassilla is finding his level

They miss Cuddyer now more than ever

Jason Kubel has found his level

Gardy is confused. His team isnt playing well but Gardy has let it get to him and his decisions about who plays are effected. If he panics, they are done.

Everyone needs to remember that for the mess they made on this long roadie, they emerge only 1.5 back. If at the beginning of the season, someone would have offered the Twins to be that close with only 22 or 23 games left, who wouldn't have taken that? A nice 5-1, or 4-2 homestand puts them on track to stay within range or even take a lead heading into the series with the Sox. Everybody take a deep breath, relax, and let the boys do their thing. Time to see what they've got left in the tank. At any rate, the 2008 Twins have been anything but a disappointment.

Only 19 bales needed and there are still 22 out there.

I'm worried, I don't even see three losses on the rest of their schedule.

22 games to go, what would you rather have?
A. 1.5 game lead with no Morneau from here on out
B. 1.5 game deficit with Morneau in the line up

I know what I'd choose..........and I have it.
