Its crazy.

These people need to sign their kids up for something else and leave sports alone.

Whenever the sport presents situations to their children that are a part of the experience, such as a dominant player or 2, they lose their minds and try to manipulate things so as to change the experience to some kind of idea or ideal that they have.

They should sign up for some other activity if they cant handle it.

Its crazy.

So they think he should bean some older kids instead.

C'mon 40mph how bad can it hurt. Take one for the team and let the kid pitch.
I hope they all get a trophy for participation! All I can say is they are all wimps...parents and kids! I either K'ed or walked until I learned to hit the ball. I guess they use a radar gun and have a scouting report on this kid! Play the damn game and shut up parents, if you cant teach your kids how to hit or play the game stay at home were you belong! I guess if I could do this and get kids banned for being good Tracey W. and Kenny K. wouldnt have pitched to me along with a few other kids! Damn I could have been good, oh yeah I was, I learned to hit those guys!

They aren't playing in Elk River...

maybe they should think about incorporating a Sonic into the facility to at least draw a crowd. Heard the overtime pay for traffic control is starting to add up big time in the ER area because of the must have burgers. Maybe they should also include a roadside sobriety test upon exiting the joint to help add revenue.
That it is. Easiest $45 an hour somebody can make.

did you all miss the "coed"part? poor wittle girlie whirlies cannot be expected to hit a 40 mile per hour pitch. The whole story is ridiculous because 40 miles an hour is not all that fast for a nine year old, and I say that with the recent experience of sitting through four long years of 9-10 year old league games (got a year off next year though, yea).

Years ago my oldest played with a fellow nine year old who was already throwing 60 miles an hour. Pitching is everything at that age and he was dominant. He still can be. He and his family had a lot of pressure to move up with the 10 year olds on the team, but he remained with his age (and his grade) because he truly wants to play with his friends. The amount of time these kids put into sports the least you can do is let them do it with friends. So, yes, I guess I am supporting the mom here (no surprise). I know the mom of the local phenom is laid back and just happy he's happy--a great attitude like that should be applauded not punished.

In fact, it's mite hockey sign up time and I am already sick to death of people who are positive the rules should be changed to allow "Jack" to play on the A squirt team, hey "he's an advanced 6", and mature too, just like his dad no doubt.
