'98 Icemen tryouts for 2009 Season - Info below.

The ’98 Minnesota Icemen will be conducting tryouts for the 2009 season – the information is as follows:

TRYOUT INFORMATION
Tryout Location: Saint Louis Park
Tryout Date: September 22nd
Tryout Time: 7:45pm to 9:15pm
Tryout Cost: $25

TEAM INFORMATION

Season Calendar: Late March, April, May, August and early September
Practice Location: TBD based upon location of players on final roster
# of Hours: Approximately 70 hours of development not including scrimmages and tournaments
Cost of Program: Approximately $1100 – 98 Icemen are a Nonprofit Corporation
Tournaments: Minimum of 3 and Maximum of 4
Player Development: Focused on individual skill development and team concepts. Team concepts include defensive zone coverage’s, fore-check, puck cycling in offensive zone, neutral zone transition, power play and penalty kill.

Other Sport Philospohy: ’98 Icemen encourage participation in other sports (baseball, soccer, lacrosse, etc…) but we expect the Icemen hockey program to be the priority over all other hockey programs during the Icemen season. ’98 Icemen take time off in the summer to allow the kids (and parents) to enjoy other sports and family activities but when the season is in session 100% attendance is preferred unless another sport conflicts with practice times.

One tryout is scheduled at this time:

September 22nd at 7:45pm to 9:15pm at Saint Louis Park Arena -

If necessary, the coaching staff will add an additional tryout date. If you would like to attend the tryout but have a conflict with the date/time above please email team98@mnicemen.com and the coaches will work with you to coordinate an alternative way to evaluate your player.
