burnsville lost all their stars edina only lost a couple and the ones they still have like budish, baker, everson, and lee will be more dominant then ever so edina should be very successful.

If you really look at what the Hornets lost to graduation last year, it's not much. Obviously Gleason is a huge loss, but I think Leer and Casey Gaarder were good, but more so role players on that team. Leer was a good physical presence, and Casey worked real hard. Caschetta was a good goalie, but looked kinda shaky at times. Returning that great core of Budish, Everson, Lee, Baker, Regan, and Conner Gaarder will have them set up very nicely. I also think that Charlie Taft and Max Everson will step up and contribute more than they did last year now being a year older and all. That and I'm hearing some good things about players coming from bantams as well. I think if they find a capable goalie Edina will be really tough to beat this year.

I am glad to see these kids chose to play for there high school and community rather than go and play junior hockey. Best of luck this year.

Edina will be the favorite all year again, but that doesn't guarantee anything. Burnsville played a great game against them in the section finals last year and this still may be the top section in state. Jefferson had a very solid year, Holy Angels was up and down, Burnsvile was strong and Edina was elite. But as I always say, it is high school and kids have up and down games. So I think maybe Holy Angels surprises some people and comes out of the section, but could easily be Jefferson pulling the upset. Edina, of course, will feel like they are due, but will that eb enough. Should be a fun season. ChrisK and I will be there to see the section finals though, so look for us there...

Edina will be the favorite, they have had some great teams over the past couple of years and will continue to be strong but i also wouldn't count holy angels out.

Way to early to worry about it, buy I would guess Edina will be the favorite, because of the talent they have, but I am putting AHA right behind them. AHA will again be fast, with good defense, but wonder who will score for them besides the first line. I thin the big point will be at goalie, Boerger is gone and I am not sure about Webb but their junior goalie is pretty good. Tom Burke has impressed me since he came to AHA and the difference between him and the others is he seems to have his head in the game. The rest of the section is a toss up, maybe Jefferson will also be close. Should be fun.....

Should shake things up a bit if the rumor is true and Webb is back at Edina. Will Holy Angels still be as strong and how will it affect Edina's potential? It will be an interesting season for sure.

Edina is going to miss Budish a lot this season. I still think they have easily enough talent to win this section without Budish. It will be a lot more difficult but I think they can still pull it off.

From what I've heard, Budish is the leader of that Hornet team on and off the ice. It might be a tough year for the Hornets without his leadership. They've got Lee, Gaarder, Everson, Baker and Reagon, Taft and who's coming up? Will HA be strong? Could definitely be an interesting season.

Favorite: Easily Edina, by far most talented team in the state and i consider it a failure for this program if they can't get a state title out of these kids before they graduate. They were at the tourney the last two years but with this group, that should be a given, a state title is the goal

Will be there: Holy angels, Jefferson: Both teams had there positives last year. I believe both have a legitmate shot to upset because any high school hockey team can win on a given night i believe. Both have underclass talent than can step up....

Might be there: Burnsville: Lost tons of talent off last years team. Don't exactly know how they will reload but i definitely don't see a return trip to the section final for the blaze this year but you never know....

The rest: well hopefully these team will make the first round of sections interesting but thats about ad far as they'll go im guessing
