Favorite: Hibbing, They will have the best player in the section in Aaron Jamnick, also they have solid D returning and will have a very good sophmore in the nets.

2. Marshall: GOALTENDING! mausolf is good enough to carry a team on his back as well. They'll be ready to go come playoff time.

3.Virginia: Their youth and inexperience will show come playoff time, none of these kids have even played in big games.

4-5. Falls and Greenway: Good young talent on both teams. Will both be better in 09-10.

6-10: no chance.

Best player in section: Jamnick
Best goalie: Paul

I just cant see Hibbing not winning this section this year, due to lack of competition

I don't see this. Probably more up in the air than most years and nobody is standing aside to let Hibbing just take it.

Hibbing has the most talent and a good coach. Marshall will be strong in the nets. Virginia will have some good talent.

well i dont know much about the teams in this section but from what it sounds like no one is really going to be a dominant team this year so im looking forward to the season, im hoping for another game like marshall vs hibbing final again this year, that game was a really good one last year. it looks like most of these teams will have some stand out players and of course marshals goalie is gunna be good and im actually excited to see how hibbings goalie will perform

Once again, I would have to take Hibbing in this section. They'll have the best forward in the northland A or AA in Jamnick and will be a solid squad. Marshall will contend as always and Virginia will be an up and comer, but Hibbing should have what it takes to make the trip to the X.

Good to know that even Virginia people are on our backs this year! Virginia has nothing but a couple over rated kids, it'll show all year.

marshall is a solid team all around. they lost some seniors but are filling the holes and looked good in their summer tournaments. beating holy angels 4-2 in the championship. marshalls first line will be able to shut down hibbings and produce some points. and their goaltending will give them the edge over hibbing. and northernboy, your top players per grade is muck.

Favorite: Duluth Marshall

Hibbing, Virginia, and I Falls could definitaly spoil the toppers but marshall has always had players step up and fill in the senior holes (last year is a great example). I know that Marshall has a lot of good sophmores coming as well, along with some ninth graders (Jake Bushey, Aaron Rich).

Top Marshall Players:

Seniors: Mausolf, Mahoney, Stauber.

Juniors: Morsette, Rich, Hurley

Sophomores: Shockley, Grannis, Bauer

IT'S GOING TO BE A VERY COMPETITIVE SECTION THIS YEAR. MARSHALL, HIBBING ,VIRGINIA OR THE FALLS WINNING THIS SECTION. JAMNICK WILL NOT BE THE PLAYER HE WAS LAST YEAR, HE PLAYED WITH A PRETTY GOOD PLAYER LAST YEAR (DECENZO) THAT MADE HIM BETTER THEN HE REALLY IS.

that is without a doubt the DUMBEST thing i have ever heard.
jamnick will walk around any marshall player, any virginia player, anyone in the section for that matter. jamnick will be a better player than decenzo was last year. personally i think he was better last year

Just because mconkey takes up space doesn't mean he's good

I say it is anybody's who wants it. Everyone though I-Falls was gonna take it but i think we all know what happened there. Look for Hibbing,Marshall, and Virginia to be the top 3 with a few more teams sprinkled in. And like always, it will be a great Section 7A final to watch.

I am going to make a bold predicition that this is the year of the Blue Devils. Everyone else thinks its Hibbing and Marshall. Respectively they are the favorites, but I think Virginia's goaltending is great. Hendrickson will be their best player, Westin can play ok too. And a great core of defensman. I think its the year for them finally.

This comes up every season (sometimes more than once). It won't happen. I understand some think it should, but "should" and "will" are two entirely different things. Nothing gets resolved. You have people at polar opposites on this issue, and it changes few, if any, minds.
