Pay a great deal attention to the men behind the curtains!

They are the great and powerful Whizzes and what they are doing, they are doing into a very strong headwind.

This weekends vote or non-vote regarding the one-site tourney begs to revive this thread. So here goes:

Oh the big Red iculous, how wonderful the site.
Where wild fans cheer, on a chilly winter's night.
Our team of 18,000, of which we're so proud.
Thrill us to no end, and make us scream loud.

Oh the big Green iculous, the head of our clan.
Came up with a wild, silly little plan.
"A team of 180, is what we all need!".
An idea that is based, on jealosy and greed.

So they schemed and plotted, and were'nt too meticulous.
And in the end their plan, in fact seems rediculous.
The vote this weekend, will be contentious and mean.
They will ultimately decide, between Red and Green.

Thousands of eyes will be watching, for the results of this vote.
Each one of them eagerly waiting, and carefully taking note.
The State of Hockey it seems, they just want to play.
Let us hope it doesn't become, the State of disarray.

Maybe things have already slipped so far out of control that the one site tournament is a lure to keep people in the cities in association hockey? Stick with your association so you can play at the Ex? It won't be enough. Minnesota Hockey is trying to keep Bantams by allowing private school teams, they're losing mite and squirts, not much left in the Cities. Plenty of ice, all it takes is a few enterprising people and you have a league of your own. But, don't mind me, I'm a pessimist (or an optimist depending on which side of the fence we land :? ).

Most people I know would rather play at the local rinks anyway, rather then have to deal with the downtown stuff.
