Yes it was. Sounded like he tossed a gem.

Good to hear, hope he can keep it up. With him and Wood, sounds like they can do some damage this year.

The SEC will go down to the wire just like in hockey.

Stillwater, CDH, Woodbury and Mounds View all have 3 losses going into the final week . There are a number of head to head games so everybody has it "in their own hands".

Of course we all know that its "In His Hands" and who that favors but pitching, defense and timely hitting may play a part.

Lets hope the weather holds.

Yeahhhh... but look at who they are playing... SOS, baby...

Sorry I just had flashbacks of the "northern" teams vs "metro" discussion (one sided albeit) we had in Feb - March earlier this year...
Rapids: always strong in baseball... Any Jetland's still pitching in the system? :D

The SEC has 4 in the metro top 10 fighting for the conference championship.

CDH beat MV in 8 innings yesterday to drop the Mustangs out of the 4 way tie but they are anything but dead.

Stillwater and Woodbury kept pace with wins.

It will go down to the last out.

CDH beat Woodbury and the win coupled with the Stillwater loss to WBL, puts CDH in first place in the SEC.

CDH can clinch a share of the title with a win over Roseville tonight.

CDH vs Stillwater Friday night at CDH

MV and Woodbury go at Friday in a double header.

Anything can happen including a 4 way tie

What's really Like A Nightmare is standing around in 45 degree weather being pelted by cold drizzle watching a baseball game in the middle of boofin May.

But the next few days should be...Like a Dream Come True.

Sunny and 60s.

Heck, maybe we can see a ball land in the outfield with out making a splash.

CDH clinches a tie for the SEC crown with a win over Roseville.

Stillwater beat Hastings so they have a chance to tie CDH Friday in the conference finale for the 2 teams.

Woodbury and MV play each other twice on Friday so only one of them can run the table to make it a three way tie if the Ponies beat CDH.

And thats the way it is.

Its nice to see Grand Rapids doing well, it wasn't to many years ago we went up there and whipped them good.

They have been pretty competitive lately.

Last year was a down year, lost in the first round to Hibbing.

Two years ago they were ranked #1 in the state for about 1/2 the season and lost in the final 4.

Three years ago they were state AAA runner-up.

Before that were many years of struggle.

CDH wins the SEC with a nail biting win vs Stillwater on Friday. Da Radahs trailed 3-0 but ralied to win it.

They had to run the table vs Woodbury, MV, Roseville and Stillwater to win it.

Section 4AAA will be a war.

Sections are the following week. They have a very good shot to do well in sections.

Section 4AAA seeds will be announced tomorrow. Cretin Derham Hall won the SEC but I think they may have to settle for a #2 seed. Tartan looks to be the favorite for the #1 seed. #3 I think will be Stillwater, #4 Woodbury, #5 Mahtomedi, #6 North St. Paul, #7 Hill Murray. 8-12 is still difficult to tell but it could end up being Roseville & White Bear Lake 8 & 9 with the City Schools (Central, Como Park & Highland Park) being seeded 10-12. I heard somewhere Cretin lost to Henry Sibley so that would not help their cause to be a #1 seed.

Interesting.

Well, it will be a great 4AAA tournament. I am sure that Tartan is proud of the #1 seed but good luck with Stillwater.

Important to stay out of the losers bracket with this mess of teams.

CDH got the #2 seed but they have beaten every body in their end of the bracket that they have played.
