Nice article, but why would you say truth or fantasy?
Like the article says, if you arent' part of it, you wouldn't understand.

A very tough academic school, small class sizes, lots of tutoring help, but very expensive, I'm sure players like Sid didn't pay much to go there. I considered sending my kid there, but I figured if I sent my kid to public school and put away the money you'd spend on tuition there you would easily have enough to pay for your kid to go to college. There was rumors that there was a drug issue there, you know rich kids with a lot of unsupervised time, but it's probably cleaned up by now. JP is one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet, I think he only scouts now. Gretzy's kid was not there this year, he was an average player at best.wiscobad wrote:Please, let's not get over the top. It was not an elitest question. Rather, it spawned a question in itself. Players truly study on the bus? I assume that Wayne Gretzy's son is the bomb-- what team does he play on? What team does JP coach? Tell me, what should I understand?

JP is coach of a USHL team. Des Moines I believe. Just took the job within the last month.MoreCowBell wrote: JP is one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet, I think he only scouts now.
His role at Shattuck-St. Mary's was mainly in recruiting the 20 or so 8th graders that arrive annually for a five year stay. At least that's my understanding.
Be kind. Rewind.
