If Ben Hanowski stays for his senior year he'll have a good chance of breaking the record
If you only knew the power of the dark side!

If I had started my high school hockey career as a 4th grader, my numbers would have been right up there :D

Ben is an outstanding player but there is no chance he is gonna have 109 points next year, I'm sure he'll have another great season and end up with somewhere around 75-85

While I agree he has a poor chance, I disagree that he has NO chance. He was on pace to score 113 points last season if he stayed healthy, and he scored 111 the season before. Granted, he had his brother and Festler helping him out the last two seasons, which is why his chances are now poor. You can't count him out this early though.

Of course, all of this depends on if he stays or goes. I'd wager he goes.

Not really. They'll be lucky to make the bottom of the list. Notice how many players are on the list from traditionally difficult metro area conferences?

Budish and Everson have around 100 or so, Lee has played HS since 8th grade, and is around 160.

It's going to be pretty tough for edina or any city kids to match those totals. You pretty much have to play a lot of weak teams for 3-4 yrs straight to make that list. Not everyone on there has but the only city guys on there are AHA guys and we know what some of their competition looks like (Farmington, NP, Northfield, etc.)

Are you telling me NP isn't good? correct me if i'm wrong but didn't they just have back to back 20 win seasons?

a 4th seed in section 1A? I wouldnt say they're good...maybe a better term would be 'an average single A team from southern mn'? fair?
my point was that these edina guys and players who play difficult schedules will have a tough time making this list...someone asked about budish and everson.
now if they played new pragues schedule...the shakopees, lesuers, austins, wasecas, mank east/loyolas. it would be a different list. but they don't and ill leave it at that.
