point
my only point is this, why are you guys on here whining about this game. It was a great game to watch, I know my son said it was a fun game to play in because it was just a battle up and down the ice. The boys playing this game were not talking smack, were not being idiots, they were all playing an awesome game. Everyone of us has seen Ref's make a questionable call. It happens. I'm pointing to the fact that you guys make it sound like if those calls didn't happen that you were totally and far away the best team in this tournment. Which isn't the case. There were several very good teams that in all likelihood, if we redid this on Saturday this week, would have totally different results.
It's a game of bounces and near misses.
Anyways, no harm meant, just respect for your team who commands it and non-hostility against ours who deserve that much as a team.

Re: Blades - Blackhawks 94 Championship Game

However, if my memory serves me correctly...that was not the case in Chicago now was it? Yes, the Blades did end up winning the JR Blackhawks 4 to 3 but it was a fight for the Blades to win the game RIGHT TO THE BITTER END!!!!!!! Guess that does not make the JR Blackhawks the "Man Handled" weak team you seem to imply. I have read all the posts and most everyone agrees the Blades are an excellent team. I fully agree with this!!Spellchecker wrote: Blades were in control of the game from start to finish. They are truly MINNESOTA's best 94 team right now.
Obviously, I would not know if you are a parent or player on this team or just an admirer. If you are a parent or team member on the 94 Blades this much I do know........ There is such a thing as a soar loser but there is also such a thing as a soar winner too. If you are affiliated with this team and take so much pride into posting how great you are then you are the epitome of a soar winner plain and simple.
As 5forfighting indicated, the score was 4-3. Don't contradict someone's post unless you have the facts straight. By the way, as for your critisism of my spelling....I am not applying to Harvard Law School, I am posting to a forum.
Re: Blades
Stand corrected "over half then and most of the all time greatest stars, sorry and by the way I'm not a Canadian just have allot of respect for the passion for the game they have, you seem to think the PV Hawks are Canadians so to set the record straight, we practiced 3 times before the tourney, played 4 games against 2 different Manitoba teams, went 2-2, WE DON'T CONSIDER OURSELVES THAT GOOD" "NOT ONE OF THE TOP TEAMS IN NORTH AMERICA." We want and need to get allot better and just hope to develop and make our kids better, because of injuries and other commitments 1 whole line with us in the meltdown never played or practiced with us, we just winged it on talent alone. JUST OVER HALF OF US ARE FROM THE GOOD OLE US OF A. in the meltdown we had 1 kid from Ontario, 5 from Manitoba, 3 from Minnesota and 7 from North Dakota . 10 from the States and 6 from Canada.Spellchecker wrote:Correction (Again): 30% of NHL Players come from Europe, 18% from the United States, 1% from other, and 51% from Canada. That is down from 80% Canadian just 10 years ago. Who is arrogant?PMC07 wrote:Your right, I apologize, you sound like a well rounded person, if you go back you will see in an earlier post that I mentioned I stood by a very nice Dad from the Blades and no I have no real problem with them and very much respect them and there talent. but read all the posts, there is some real arrogance in some,jancze5 wrote:I can't help but chime in on this becaue my son plays for the Blades.
BLUF: (that's bottom line up front for those who don't know)
At this age, there are a many many many good teams and great players. On any given day, in any given rink, games can swing either way. A bad bounce here, a hot goalie there, a questionable call, a shot that hit the post, it all happens. One weekend 5-5, the next 6-1. It's a game and these games get better and better the older our boys get. It would be crappy if the 94 Blades just went in and lambasted teams 10-1, and they don't, never said they did.
I can't believe I'm reading on here guys from Pembina of all places putting this team down. It was a really good hockey game between 2 teams of good players. Pembina has alot of skilled players and speed. The Blackhawks are an excellent team, were last summer too. They have loads of talented players and it's always a great game between the 2. Midwest gets stronger and stronger every year as well.
It's obvious to me that whoever from Pembina Valley is on here talking, just doesn't have the maturity to respect the kids. Why not just send an email to the Blades scheduler and see if the teams can play again. I'm sure it would be another great game(s).
" clearly the best team" ?? like you said allot of times it is who has the edge that day. " one of the best teams in North America" ??? wow we have found teams that have literately handed us our back ends in Western Canada there is soooo many good players in the world and allot of times the very best just play with friends in the spring/summer and don't go looking for an elite team, they have a much bigger goal in mind. Google search birth places of NHL players and see where 80% of them were born. The Blades are very much quality and at least the person I stood next to was great and I'm sure the kids are to, good luck with your overall development of your kids and I hope a few will be able to move on to the next level.
once again for the fourth time! WOW... i know my spelling is bad but i seem to fail in my attempt to get a point across also. i havent read on here anyone say the blades are a bad team. i havent read anyone say the hawks are the BEST. what do you guys read? jancze i agree with all your posts but you mentioned calls. what calls i mentioned a call and made it very clear i thought. their was only ONE penalty CALLED in the whole game. its not whinning its a fact. as ref what could you be thinking to go a whole game without making a call and than call a meaning less trip in nutrual ice with 2 minutes left. thats the point thats been made. let me refrase that- thats the point im TRYING to make.
I agree 100% with you watchdog, but I must correct you, the blades scored there first goal early in the game, a minute later they called a penalty on the Hawks and the Hawks first goal came shorthanded, that was about 5 minutes into the game, the second and only other penalty came with two minutes left against the Hawks again.watchdog wrote:once again for the fourth time! I was talking about the championship game in the Meltdown...I didn't know that you were still dwelling on your "close" game in Chicago. Blades forever....54fighting wrote:Spellchecker you need to get your facts right. According to the Chi-town website the Blades- Blackhawks game in Chicago was a 4-3 game not 6-2. I know it may be hard to imagine but it also shows that Team Midwest tied the Blades 5-5. That must be a misprint!

Then maybe it is time to be more meticulous about reading the FACTS of a post and answering it with researched information. Perhaps, this forum is not the place to worry about a spelling error, context use error, grammar error, or typing error. MOST people come here to talk about hockey. If they make such an error , it is completely irrelevant to this forum. If someone is disagreeing with you on your opinion, and all you can come up with is bogus statistics and incorrect spelling your just grasping at straws.
