After watching Wayzata play this year, I'd wager to say Mario was good enough to play for them this year too!rbkhockey4life wrote:his name is mario lucia and he is a first year bantam i believe but is probablly good enough to play on wayzatas highschool team next year

You know he is from Edina don't you? Aren't you worried you'll get sued for making a comment like that?

I watched most of the Bantam A state tournament and I would say that Sit was one of the best players there. He is very fast, shifty, and has a good shot. There was one thing wrong though...I counted 3 passes that he made the whole tournament. If he plays at the Varsity level I'm hoping that he will have more faith in his teammates...Jones from Wayzata was the best defenseman at the tournament. I am not sure how his size will effect him next year but I am sure that he will do just fine.wannagototherink wrote:Northlandhockey77 wrote:pucker15 wrote:mario lucia isnt very good, michael sit from edina blake dochniak from stillwater and dan carlson from maple grove are really good and should be good contenders for varsity next year

Thanks for the updates on the National Festival Trojanman. The names you provided are all top notch players and good kids. Anyone have anymore names?
Just a reminder (as evidenced by this thread), there will always be jealous players and even more jealous dads! I have more respect for the posters on here who highlight the talent than those dads who like to take shots at kids (you know who you are CN_). The players know who is good and which players are over hyped (mostly by their dad's PR firms). In the long run, the good players rise to the top through lots of natural ability, sweat and hard work. Parents can only create opportunities for so long and then the kids have to earn it on their own. The ones with true talent, heart and passion for the game will end up on top and in the drafts in spite of occassional bad coaches and powerful dads with agendas and connections, but cloudy visions of their own kid's true abilities.
Good luck to all the players who made it to represent MN at the national festival in August. Also congrats to the kids who played hard all week. It's just one program - don't give up - just keep working hard and have some fun with hockey!
