Full disclosure: this is my son so I am very biased.

District 8, Bantam B1 - his overall record was 28-5-2, with a goals against average of 1.25, a 93% save percentage, and 13 shut-outs.

Against teams that were ranked in the LPH top twenty at the time we played them, his record was 11-3-2, with a GAA of 1.38, a 93% save percentage, and 5 shut-outs. This included 7 games against D6 teams (my pick for the best district in the state).

And yes, I do understand you cannot fully judge a goalie's skill by his stats. And it did help (a lot) that he was on a very good team.

Best stat of all; he had fun 100% of the season.

District 11

Austin Lanoue from Moose Lake. Won't get into stats, but played on a very small team in Bantam B1's where all the kids who signed up played. As the only goalie for the team last year, and at the end of this past season, he was able to help carry the team to regions 2 years in a row.

He has an incredible ability to pass the puck, and is very aggressive. Yes he is my son and I'm biased also, but I'm a huge goalie fan, and I enjoy watching him play because of his talents. He will be playing the Advanced 15's, and I'm really looking forward to see him play on a talented team against the best in the state. Should be a great run of awesome hockey!!

Thanks rbk, not to make excuses for him, but he had just gotten back from a 12 hour car ride the night before and was gone for a week, so we figured he was going to be in trouble, which he was lol. He's back in form now, and is fun to watch. I'll have to keep an eye out for Brandon Ische, I've heard the name, but I've never seen him play.

yeah thats what everyone was told in the stands and we were all pretty impressed by him considering that he hadnt practiced for a week. and that goalie for rapids is the one that played against u the first game he had a good game because he actually tried. his team mates got very frustrated with him at times because they knew he wasnt given a 100%

best goalie in District 2

My gosh this is a hard one but I'll go with Vince Illgen from WBL.
The dude was an absolute wall when it mattered most...during the playoffs.
He posted back to back shut outs in playoffs and took goals off the board with some huge saves. :D :D :D :D

Saw some good bantam goalies at the tournament at Schwans this weekend. Don't know many of their names because the program didn't seem to be very accurate. Defiel from Stillwater was pretty good but MAnteufel from N St Paul was shaky at best and I heard the Manteufel kid made the Dist 2 select team. That must have driven the kid from Stillwater crazy to watch.

Suel from Shakopee had a couple good games but got lit up in the championship. Engle was ok but didn't stand out.

The west team had maybe the best two in the tourney but neither were in the program. One from Rogers was quite good and only gave up a few of goals in the tourney. The other one, I think from Breck, had good games each time and then really stepped up in the championship game and shut down the south team on some amazing saves.

The two from the north weren't that good.

While he isn't a goalie, I expected to see a lot more from Seth Ambrose. He was quite a disappointment. Passing isn't a skill he has developed. More rep and size than skill.
Shuck the puck!!!
