Dave's Sporting Shop......do you remember?

Post by tomASS »

Anyone besides me remember when Dave had his hockey store in his Fridley garage or was it just my dad's hard earned dollar that got Dave off the ground?

Seeing Dave's mentioned in another post got me thinking

I don't remember the Fridley garage but the old Fridley store puts the new one to shame

Yep he moved into that one after the success in his garage. It was a couple doors down from Buzz's barbershop.

Too bad about the new store not being as good as the orginal(s)

My husband remembers Dave's store right out of his garage, he just lived right down the road. My hubby played hockey from mites through high school for Fridley. Who knows maybe you know each other.

Oooh, no, the new store is great. While we love General and Westwood, we regularly stop in to see Scott - he's a good man.

Why would you say that the new one's not as good as the old? They don't carry your Northland hockey stick anymore?

They have great service and reasonable prices.....what more do you want........if you know everything about all the equipment then go to the super stores.

Met Dave and have shared a few pop's, he has a great story about how/when he started that store.
