MSU... NCAA Tourney?
I know this is a college topic but.....
Can MN State still go to the NCAA Tourney even after losing the series to the UM? Im a bit confused, how does this work?

Maybe so, but they had two chances to take care of business themselves. If they had beaten the Gophers either of the last two games (Saturday and Sunday), they would have been able to keep playing and they would have been an NCAA-lock. Do I think they should have gotten in over Wisconsin? Yes. Did they get screwed? No. They had a chance to play themselves in and they could not do it.State Champ 97 wrote:MSU got screwed.

You can't simply look at head to head. There is a reason it is called the WCHA playoffs. There is a reason they play them. There wee four teams tied at the 12 spot in the RPI rankings. Wisconsin caught the break. We never have this conversation if Minnesota State wins or either Saturday or Sunday.State Champ 97 wrote:Exactly.Goldy Gopher wrote:If there isn't a regional being played in Wisconsin, Mankato gets in.State Champ 97 wrote:MSU got screwed.
Boblee, they did take care of business when they got through the regular season with a better record than Wisconsin and a 2-1-1 head to head record with Wisconsin.
