Gopher Tom Pohl on KMSP 9 (MyFoxTwincities)

Post by Lily Braden »

I just watched the Tom Pohl story on the KMSP 9 website.
What a great kid...and so nice when talking about the player who hit him.

I'm posting a link, but I'm really bad at this stuff.
If it doesn't work, just go watch it on your own.

To those of you that wear your helmet loose. Take a good look at Mr. Pohl. Strap em tight.

Ditto on the loose helmet comment. It's amazing there's not more of these injuries occuring. As what seemed to be the case with Pohl, many players today are wearing their helmets too loose with the chin strap dangling down freely rather than strapped on tightly. No way Pohl's helmet should come flying off from the hit that he sustained if his chin strap was on right. Even Lucia implied after the game that his injury was from the helmet coming off. Fortunately, it appears he'll make a good recovery.
