not to burst your bubble about your grand win over east grand forks, and roseau , but sorry to say most of them are 8u age. sorry small towns tend to do that with their kids to get numbers.
Don't know anything about girls hockey, but where is NWC is from?

NWC (North Wright County) is Monticello, Annandale, Maple Lake and St. Michael/Albertville. They used to go by EWC (East Wright County).

Top 8 U10A Teams

Post by Hockeydaddy »

Based on seeing many of these games, the best eight teams are probably:

Blaine
Eden Prairie
Edina
Lakeville N
Lakeville S
North Wright County
Rochester
Wayzata

Who would win amongst these teams? - Depends on when they play, I guess. Roch killed Edina, Edina beat Blaine and Lakeville S, EP beat everyone, including Roch, but has played close games with and now lost to Edina. Blaine is way ahead in their league, but has had tight games with NWC, and NWC has thumped most of the teams they played. The Lakeville kids beat everyone in the South up, and Wayzata is very tough.

I can see now what "gohome" was talking about, that big association of NWC picking on those small one's :?

I love how everyone from down in the "cities" is a big association.

My final rankings

Post by U10Father »

1. Eden Prairie
2. Rochester
3. Edina
4. Lakeville S
5. Blaine
6. Anoka
7. Wayzata
8. Lakeville N
9. Stillwater
10. Centennial

I saw most of EP/Edina D6 Final. Very tight game, shots were 18-18 but Edina couldn't slow down the little EP forwards and the EP goalie was stellar. And before you post, I know this is just U10, and it doesn't mean much - except maybe to people who have U10 kids. And I know that there's lots of development to do, blah, blah, blah.

Congrats to EP.

Congrats EP

It was a good game, EP bottled the Hornets up. EP deserves credit - they beat Edina 4 out of 5, even if all the games were pretty close and hotly contested, EP was the best U10 team this year.

My kid's reaction: "I think the Red Ribbon on the medal is prettier, and those kids on Eden Prairie are really kind of nice."

Makes me wonder if I'm failing as a hockey parent...
