I was wondering why Mrs. Govs hasn't been dipping into my wallet as much recently...

Looks like she picked up a part time job.

This is not a question regarding tipping, but it's more of an etiquette question that came up at work today, so I'm looking for some responses from the "experts"

Say a co-worker is suddenly struck "ill" and the paramedics are called to check it out. Once they arrive, it's observed that one of the EMTs is... well... let's say "attractive". The medics go about their business in tending to the fallen co-worker and it's determined that everything is ok.

The question is, now that it's been determined that everybody is ok, and the atmosphere has calmed down... are you within your rights to start hitting on the "attractive" medic?

Providing that it indeed was a attractive female Gov's... you should have started before you found out everything was OK, so you would have as much of a chance as the man down! :P

Truth be told, this question does not pertain to me (I'm terribly afraid of Mrs. Govs and the fury that would be unleashed if the thought ever even occurred to me). No, it pertains to a much younger, single co-worker with better hair and no man jugs. He was just so conflicted about the proper procedure for such an event that the opportunity passed him by.

Tell him he will never see her again and his chance is lost and let that be a lesson to him. We only go around once and why not take a shot - doesn't hurt to ask. Could have been the love of his life.

What difference does it make that she's an EMT - I'm sure if she was a waitress, bartender, etc he wouldn't have thought twice about it.

obviously it's time for a woman's perspective here, it's a wonder you boys ever got your stimulus checks.

I say good for him for not hitting on her than and there. She would NOT have appreciated it. EMT is still not a traditional post for a woman, although I know a few and have seen more. Mostly male dominated and tough to get respect, so she is probably hit on by co-workers and cops and people at the hospitals. Best course, would be to do the legwork and find out who she is. Certainly you know the name of the ambulance company she works for....maybe the "okay" co-worker can be talked into getting some info so he can thank the team that showed up. Send flowers and an email address, a card explaining it all. She'll be much more flattered that he took the time to track her down than that he worked up the nerve to hit on her in front of her co-workers and his.

the more I hear about mrs. govs the more I like that woman!!!! :P

WHAT !!!
Flowers = $40 bucks
Time spent tracking her down =$100
Empressing your co workers with a cheap and ill timed pick up line = Priceless

Govs-
I "work" with female EMT's on a somewhat daily basis and I will say that the attractive ones are harder to find, but I would not recommend hitting on them while they are on the job. Like was said, they take plenty of abuse from the firefighters, paramedics and police and they are in a different mindset when they are on the job. They really aren't thinking about the guys as there have been numerous times where a cop has asked what happened at a certain scene after he left and she had no clue he was there. If she stuck around and talked, then go for it, but in the majority of situations I would say no.

CNT, I agree but as you can see above I thought you guys had a romantic streak and weren't afraid to show it!!!

the love of Mr. Dmom's life lives down the road, and he can visit her website whenever he wants to, as long as it's not on a computer I have access to.

Every Halloween I let him dress up the boys and pull them down the road behind the ATV, he says he's taking them trick or treating but in reality he is hoping Ms. Charms is home and will finally answer the door. Ten years and he's still waiting....

No, it's okay. I am pretty sure he doesn't really mean it, well he does hit their house when they are trick or treating but it isn't like he detours out of his way to drive by the house on a daily basis. Adult entertainment stars aren't really wife material. When I retire my friends think I should start a celebrity tour of the neighborhood, the adult movie star lives here and the adult entertainment dancer lives here.... and so on and so on...convenants we have, standards we don't!! :?

Neither is Mrs. Govs, but somehow I think I might be able to at least tolerate Dmom's neighbor a bit more.
