Kudos to Ness and his family - there is more to life than hockey. One day he may be back in Roseau on the bench next to Billy Lund.

If the recruiting thing is true  God Bless Roseau. Keep the privates away form the talent. Go get another Mr. hockey Roseau...we'll cheer for him in 2020!!

Ness will "get gooned" during practive at the U. Think Fairchild wants someone to challenge him to QB the PP?

but lets not start comparing our high school players to probably the most accomplished hockey player playing in the world in scott niedermeyer.
Sorry, I know Mr. Martin... Pauly is 175-180 soaking wet... Great hockey player, very good defenseman...

Ness is a better offensive defenseman... Martin is by far a better defensive defenseman... Ness is not in the same zip code as Neidermeier, and he is 20 years younger...

Tonight... Ness did not play well at all...

After the year he and the gophers had... I'ld say there isn't a whole lot of challenge there.

Recruiting - not sure a third generation family from Roseau qualifies as a recruit. Grandfather played for the Rams, dad did too... Not much of a stretch that a third generation would also.

Well said. Aaron came to Roseau at 6 yrs of age. The Roseau high school wasn't recruiting him, his family is from Roseau and they wanted to come home to raise their kids. Aaron's a class act Roseau kid, and we were blessed to have him. I hope him all the best in the future.

Ness took a shot in the knee in the Moorhead section game right along the boards on the Roseau side. He had to come off the ice, kind of curled over and the guy next to me said he looked like he was hurt. He hasn't been himself since that these past three games.

If Ness isn't good enough to be a candidate for Mr Hockey or play for the Gophers, then why is he? And if many of you dont think that he is good enough then why worry if he will win Mr Hockey? I see many of these posts as envy. Why even have a topic about Ness or read and reply to the topic if you feel that he isnt worthy of such attention?

Yeah, at tender age of 6, the Roseau boosters saw potential when Ness, moved him and his family to Roseau and got them a cushy job for 6 figures for spawning "Baby Jesus".
The profound ignorance in some of these comments is astounding-- assumptions, snide remarks about Aaron, his family, etc. Unless you know him personally, know his family, know anything about his life OUTSIDE of hockey (and it is quite apparent that you do not) then you have no business posting such complete trash.

...blueswede isn't the first to grab hold of that one

You Roseau people jumping on this "bored" really should read up a bit before posting and try to recognize some sarcasm :!:

Sorry, not from Roseau. Not even from northern MN. Sarcasm or not, it's ignorant commentary and uncalled for. Nice try with the graphic though.

I saw the location and I got the sarcasm in yours before I posted...not the other though. I was referring to basically ALL the rude comments regarding Aaron and his family that I have seen throughout these boards. Sorry!

It really isn't ignorant at all, it's called sarcasm. See, if you've been a member of this "bored" for any length of time you'd know where i was coming from. Since it seems you haven't, i'll explain it to you, real slow now... People are always claiming Marvin's gives job offers to parents of gifted hockey players as a method of recruiting. Although no one has ever been able to substantiate these allegations, people keep drumming them up. So, that is where the sarcastic comment came from...Get it now BlueSwede? Sarcasm, not ignorance.

It's both. I've read your posts on all boards... Laughable. 'Nuff said there. Oh...and you don't need to explain anything to me. I know very well what goes on with recruiting in all types of sports, not just hockey. And to further enlighten you, there are many people who read these (and other) message boards regularly and never post a thing. Just because you have 1391 posts on here since Dec of 2004 you think that makes you some kind of expert? HA! Little do you know...funny when you don't know who is really on the other end of the message, isn't it?
