I think D6 is over rated.

EP and Burnsville both lost to district 1 teams this weekend in south regions.

I think District 3 is the best

In what? Eden Prairie didn't lose to anyone in Bantam and Burnsville lost to Edina 5-0 if I recall.

District 6 is the strongest district. Which D1 teams beat which D6 teams? Pee Wee and Bantam both have two D6 teams in state.

I believe Studdly is referring to BB1. Mpls Park beat Burnsville and Richfield beat EPRed.

Nonetheless, the measure of the strength of a district isn't based on two losses in regions. I agree that D6 is the strongest and deepest district.

WHAT? The measure of a district isn't their B team. How many other teams do these communities field? Burnsville, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Jefferson, and Edina place their best on the A teams an no other district is as strong in Minnesota youth hockey.

Studdly better explain how Bs is the best measure. FWIW, Edina got both PW B teams through to state.

No kidding, Spinner. I think Eden Prairie's Bantams are rated where they should be. Better than the Fire, better than Shattuck, and better so far than every other Minnesota team.

Still a way to go, but I'll be surprised if they don't win state.

O-town-clown, you defintely must be from out of town... EP split with Shattuck and the Fire hasn't played them with a full squad yet. I wouldn't bet on any one of those three teams beating the other two on any given night.

If you disagree then I am happy to take your money as they are all playing each other in the next few weeks.

Shattuck has not fared as well against Minnesota teams as Eden Prairie has. As for the Fire, I'm just looking at results and don't know when they have a 'full squad' or not. How can they not have a full squad?

If I were Eden Prairie, I'd be more worried about the state tournament than a friendly versus Shattuck. If I were Shattuck I'd be more worried about nationals than I am a friendly with Eden Prairie.

Freddy,

You just exposed yourself as a FIRE basher because the FIRE beat my team (Shattuck) 2 out of 3 games. I won't say they are better than us but I definitely won't say we are better than they are as you did. But based on your other posts it doesn't seem like the facts ever seem to weigh on your point of view...

Not quite sure what you mean about not adding up. Eden Prairie is 1-1-1 against shattuck but all close games. Eden prairie is 1-0 against the Fire in a rout, and the only other times these two teams (Fire and EP) could of played was in Roseau, but the Fire couldn't get to the champianship (ep won). So my theory is 1+1=2. What's yours?

Freddy,

FREDDY: "FIRE beats Shattuck 2 out of 3 so Shattuck is good FIRE is not"

TOPSHELF3: "FIRE beats Shattuck 2 out of 3 both teams are good"

What school did you say you went to to FREDDY?

Until FIRE plays EP with full squad (they were missing 4-5 during one game they played them according to the parents I know) it is kind of hard to draw conclusions unless you live in BEDROCK...:)

And the kicker... my kid plays with Shattuck so I think I am a bit unbiased, no.

so your saying the Fire didn't have a full squad when they played ep in the Shattuck tournament, and they didn't have a full squad in the Roseau tournament. WELL WHEN THE HELL ARE THEY GOING TO HAVE A FULL SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, and I know this for a fact, both times the Fire beat Shattuck, Shattuck didn't have a full squad.

Missing 1 is not a full squad!

Call me when the FIRE or Shattuck wins the MN State Tournament. Oh . . .never mind. All three appear to be good teams and good programs. Not sure why we have to "speculate" on who's better. Don't blame EP for the FIRE missing players on game day. We could also go on about how EP is community hockey and Shattuck and FIRE are recruitable entities.

There are always top teams and nothing is more exciting than seeing them take the ice for a one-goal game. There are no more chances for EP to take on Shattuck or FIRE, so it's about time to move on.

Shelf, what did you hear about the Thunder game a couple weeks back? They are a AAA program that draws from all of the Southeast.

OTC, Wow you have a lot of time on your hands - joined less than 150 days ago and 802 posts! That's almost 5 1/2 per day. Dontcha wish it would freeze in Florida so you could go out and play instead of surfing this site.

Topshelf3 is totally delusional. EP kick their butts at Shattuck. Fire played Shattuck with players who are on the Blades no comparison. And played suckhole the whole time. END OF STORY BYE!
