I know it's old, but it is interesting how when I did the same thing last year I had much fewer upsets.

Now that you've got the seeding down, go to work on the venues. Nobody wants to play in Little Falls, Brainerd, Grand Rapids, Moorhead or the Fairgrounds.

North Region - New Bemidji Arena, Little Ralph, Big Ralph
East Region - DECC, New Duluth Arena, Hibbing
West Region - New Fargo Arena, SCSU
South Region - Mariucci or Ridder, maybe Mankato

8)

Where to start? Grand Rapids and Moorhead have VERY NICE venues.

North-New Bemidji Arena?, I use the Little Ralph this year. Big Ralph isn't in MN.

East-DECC, believe I used it last year. I use hibbing this year. New Duluth isn't done.

West-New Fargo isn't done and it's not in MN and I still used Fargo last year. SCSU I use this year.

South-I use Mariucci and Ridder last year, Mankato is your only good, new idea and I like it

An expanded tournament could never work. It would mean the end of sectionals. And noone is going for dat.

Whether you used them last year, or not, they're the only venues worthy of hosting state-level tourneys. Thankfully, you didn't use all high school venues, as the MSHSL found out with basketball, not alot of fun to play a section quarterfinal in your home area, and if you lose in the quarterfinals, not getting into the real tournament atmosphere.
