This is probably going to be the closest, most entertaining first-round game. Both teams have been playing excellent hockey lately, with Woodbury having a surprisingly easy time cruising through 3AA and Benilde doing a very impressive job getting out of 6AA. Since I feel the need to pick one upset on Thursday, I'll go with...
Woodbury 4
Benilde 3
Woodbury 4
Benilde 3

Benilde should be able to pull this one out. If Meyers plays like he did against Tonka, there is no way this Woodbury team (seeded lower than Tonka all year) should be able to put one past Benilde. As long as they don't get cocky off of their win against Tonka and play as hard as they did in that last 3rd period, they will easily beat Woodbury.
I'm taking Benilde 3-2, finishing it off without an OT.
Also, I take number 11 and number 16 for the goals.

Winning 3-2 is beating a team easily?![]()

If everything from the season is thrown out then how do they figure out the seedings? From past performance during the season. I don't need to have been in the play-offs to understand how it works. i'm going with a woodbury win in a close one: 4-3

actually you do, if you've never played in front of 18,000 fans you have no idea what its like. it makes for games that you could've never witnessed during the regular season. this will be a good game where both teams step up. but woodbury has the experience in this one having made it last year. i like them to win this game. and puck81 please dont say stupid stuff like "i dont need to have been in the play-offs to understand how it works" anymore. if you've never been, you have no idea. anyone else thats played in it would agree with me.puck81 wrote:If everything from the season is thrown out then how do they figure out the seedings? This is a possible upset game. Woodbury is loose and wants to show the hockey people they are a power, nothing to lose attitude.
Benilde wants to compete with the tough private school Hill and teh big suburban Edina - may come in alittle tight, if so, it could go south.
I'll take Woodbury, 5 - 4 with a late goal for the win.

All I did was give an opinion on the game and you start calling things I write stupid because you obviously are not smart enough to properly debate a post without slinging the mud. Just because you have played in a play-off game doesn't mean you know more about it then everyone else. I know lot's of players who would disagree with you completely and they have played in the play-offs. So get over yourself.
