Mid August or so, Easton Cup at the Super Rink. Breezy Point has some around that time too. Look in Lets Play Hockey.

there's one in Duluth the end of August, Lake Superior Stars host, there was one at Minnesota Made the second weekend of August this year...there's been one at Fogerty, there's a selects tournament...there's MM's summit series over labor day, granted, some of those are not for full teams

For AAA clubs there is the Duluth Ice Cup in mid August and Easton Cup about the same time, but this is the only one in the metro that I could find for September

The MM and Midwest Selects are a N, S, E, W format and not setup for bringing in a full team

MGHockey, you are correct - the tournament coordinator said that if there is enough interest they will change venues to make room for the 96's.

Minnesota AAA Cup is a tournament that will be held the second week of September for 96 thru 98 birth years. Only 6 teams will be allowed in per age level - 3 game min and 4 game max. Since the local teams never all end up in the same tournaments the intent is to attract the best local AAA teams to finish out the year and see who can claim bragging rights and nice trophy.

Buttend - the interest is there from a number of the top teams across the 96, 97 and 98 levels. In order to firm up the list a invitation will be sent next week to the top teams. Probably not ethical for me to list teams that have an interest until the team submits a deposit.

This is a non-profit event. Surplus revenue will be applied to great prizes for the kids and the 2009 tournament ice rental fees. The intent is to make this an annual event.

If you want to ensure your team is considered please email your team info to minnaaacup@yahoo.com.

Thanks.
