I read an article in the paper about Dano Jaques today. This is his 3rd or 4th at the high school tourney, but before that he also had two at the mite level and two at the bantam level (correct me on the numbers). So, if you include state at all levels I think this would be his 7th consecutive year at state.

Moorhead has two players listed in their Records
Most Varsity Games Played By a Single Player:
109 by Joel Jamison (92-95) (Blake, Kraft, Cullen years)
Most State Tournament Appearances by a Single Player:
4 by Joel Jamison & Nick Deutz (Lee, Gifford, Vandevelde years)
(too bad none of them can claim a State Championship)

Jumped from mites to bantams, quite impressive!HShockeywatcher wrote:I read an article in the paper about Dano Jaques today. Since he and Little Falls have had such competition to get there and have done so much once they got there. One 4th place finish and twice 2 and out. A state record of 1-6 with the only win coming against a very weak Mankato East. Enjoy the free ride once again.Last night when Little Falls defeated Alexandria for their forth consecutive trip to the state tournament, it marked the fourth time senior Beau Hanowski will be making the trip down to the X.

Not only that, I didn't realize we had a state tournament for mites. Have you DD's been keeping secrets again, Elliot?elliott70 wrote:Jumped from mites to bantams, quite impressive!HShockeywatcher wrote:I read an article in the paper about Dano Jaques today. They don't have a mite state tournament.HShockeywatcher wrote:I read an article in the paper about Dano Jaques today. Good effort though.
The U invented swagger.
Jim Malwitz for sure. 78,79,80,81.grindiangrad-80 wrote:I'm sure Grand Rapids has a few. They went to state every year from '74-81. They brought freshman with them more than once.
I would guess Tom Rothstein, John Decenzo, Jim Malwitz, Eric Lempe, Tony Kellin, Scott and Kurt Kleinendorst, etc.
Help me out boblee.

Crowley only played in 3 (1992, 1993, 1994). He was a freshman on the team in '91 that lost to Kennedy in the Section V finals.
Parrish played on 3 (1993, 1994, 1995). Was a Bantam A as a 9th grader, as are most kids.
Checco only played in 2 (1992 & 1993). Started varsity the same year as Crowley.
John Pohl graduated in 1998. He would have played on 4 tournament teams. Impressive, nonetheless.
There is a list of guys that could have, but were injured along the way:
-Tom Nevers (Edina): Played in 1987 & 1989, injured & did not play in the tournament in 1988 when they won the title (Patrick Ewing Theory?)
-Matt Mathias (Duluth East): Played in 1994, 1995 & 1997. Was injured in 1996 & did not play.
There is a very large list of people that have played in three, you have to look at people that are in the 4 & 5 year range. Probably easier to find them in the A ranks or the private school files since they most likely would have a better chance of being on the varsity team as a 9th or 8th grader. That's why Anders Lee is in a unique position because he falls into both categories (private school & Class A) prior to attending Edina.
If it's going to be a AA guy, the guy either had to be on a team that had a big section run to state for multiple years or was a transfer.
WOW, that is some great hockey knowledge! Very impressed
