So because I am unable to stand for an entire game, makes me less of a fan than yourself? Everyone has their own way to cheer on their team. Sitting doesn't make you any less of a fan, it just makes you a more considerate one.CFM™ wrote:

That doesn't always solve the problem and often has them obstructing the area around the net, the most important part of the rink.whitebearsuperfanB wrote:
Why do you think student sections are always near the goaline and not in the middle of the ice. Get there earlier if you want a better seat cause i don't know of one student section in state that would sit for a section championship. Let me know if you find one so we can doushe them.
Since when is 25 old?? My understanding from the original post of this thread was to discuss student sections. My comments are regarding student sections. Just because you don't like what i have to say does not make it any less of a fact.TPSKohoHockey29 wrote:wogggieee: go and drink your coffee somewhere else old man, this thread is no place for you if all you are going to do is complain.
This thread is all about how sweet student sections are, and who has the best one. NOT about some guy complaining about how he cant see one end of the ice because those "darn new fangled kids with their gosh darn cordless telephone devices and their crazy cheers and jeers that stand up all game" get in your way.
What you have to say is not a fact, it is your opinion. And don't get me wrong, you are well entitled to your own opinion, but complaining about it continuously on this message board isn't going to do anything. Student sections are going to stand when they want to stand and where they want to stand. Being on their feet does not make them inconsiderate. If anything, it makes them more considerate because they are being supportive of their team. Last time I checked people go to the games to be there for their team, not to be worried about other fans. And as far as student sections "obstructing the views of others" goes... a student section is singular, as in it only takes up one section of the rink. I am sure you, the young 25 year old, should have no problem finding a seat away from a student section in the multiple other sections available in the arena.wogggieee wrote:So because I am unable to stand for an entire game, makes me less of a fan than yourself? My view being blocked is indeed a fact. Anytime you are standing in front of others you should be conscience of the fact that you are likely blocking someones view. That does not make you considerate in the least. And as i said before, there is not always a seat in an area that isn't obstructed by them. I've had that happen on a few occasions this year. Anyways, we're going around and around. I think you're inconsiderate for standing and obstructing peoples views. You don't think its inconsiderate to block views. Neither one of our opinions are going to change. So i guess I'll be done with this discussion. But i guess at least now you are aware of how your standing effects those around you, weather you choose to care or not, i guess that is up to you and will speak to your character.GinoBaby wrote:

now that i think back to the edina vs. burnsville game that i found annoying by the burnsville section is that everytime burnsville would get into edinas zone the bville fans would go crazy. there was one point in overtime where bville had a 1 on 4 or 5 and they were acting like he was on a breakaway
they need to be quiet unless they score or make a huge save

You need to be quiet until you start making sense.pondyplayer93 wrote:now that i think back to the edina vs. burnsville game that i found annoying by the burnsville section is that everytime burnsville would get into edinas zone the bville fans would go crazy. there was one point in overtime where bville had a 1 on 4 or 5 and they were acting like he was on a breakaway

Aaahh, douche.
There's nothing worse than somebody tells people when they should cheer or not.pondyplayer93 wrote:now that i think back to the edina vs. burnsville game that i found annoying by the burnsville section is that everytime burnsville would get into edinas zone the bville fans would go crazy. there was one point in overtime where bville had a 1 on 4 or 5 and they were acting like he was on a breakaway

Oh well...I guess its too much to ask for people to be considerate of others. Thats too bad.TPSKohoHockey29 wrote:biggest sob story if i have ever heard one!![]()

I think Blaine's student section is completely girls. Nothing wrong with it, I kinda like it. As I mentioned in another thread, Blaine and Centennial share all the same cheers. I knew that would be interesting to see how well that went tonight. When Blaine did the "if you're winning and you know it clap your hands" Sunday school song, Centennial replied "Get your own cheer!" Come on Centennial. None of the cheers any of you guys do are original. They're all the college hockey cheers.
Anyways, at the Hill Murray game tonight I was toward the top of the Hill student section. And some little puke at the top was throwing stuff at his own school's fans throughout the whole game. He threw gum that landed on me, and I wish I knew which on of those little donut punchers did it. Watch the game. And have some respect. If you're in that early teenage stage where don't want to just "because"-go throw gum at the White Bear kids, stupid. He made me mad that I was cheering for his team.
About the standing students, I don't see how sitting or standing makes you support your team any more or less. Personally I find it annoying, but I also roll with the punches and accept that it's the way the cookie crumbles. When we're at our hockey games we sit. There is no better feeling than jumping up out of your seat when you see that puck hit the back of the net. And yelling/cheering about as loud as you can, of course.
Also White Bear fan, the reason we sit near the goalie and not in the middle is because the closer you can get to the opposing goalie to taunt him all game long, the better. That's the real reason.
