If you say Edina is not that good then Burnsville is obviously not that good either.

Edina is a great team, along with Burnsville and if they played 10 times during the year they would each probably win 4 to 6 of them.

I thought I heard the kids to our left, Bville, cheer "f the hornets!" Honestly, I could only make out 55% of what the students were cheering about. Did I hear that one correctly? Since when did kids start using the f word in cheers? That's 100% lame, regardless of what school their from.
yes i was sitting right next to the bville section
they were saying swat the hornets, not f the hornets

tonka was saying f the hornets durring bsm game kinda funny that they ended up losing
your right bville and tonka teamed up in the first game against bsm and the second game against edina

and both ended up losing

This is my first post since the game last night and wow what a night of hockey. Edina's big line of Lee/Budish/Everson is a force. They have the best d-man group i've seen all year. Minnetonka's d-group is close. One big glaring problem is Caschetta. That first goal he let in was one of the worst i've ever seen. Gives props to Burnsville, they really played well especially after the first period. That was the best double-header i've ever been too, and i've been to a lot.

This was one of the best high school hockey games I've ever seen...Burnsville's goalie stopped nearly 50 shots, and the 4 that went in you can't blame him (2 deflections to Edina players, 1 one timer in the slot and a penalty shot). Edina could have easily had 6, 7 or 8 goals. Edina was sure the better team but they left the underdog in it (something Tonka did earlier in the night). Of all the players to score the winning goal, I hoped it wasn't Lee...

What makes people hate you more?
1. Going to St. Thomas Academy
2. Going to Edina
3. Transfering from St. Thomas to Edina

ya i guess you could call me bitter. i just watched my team get beat by cake eaters. I cant blame the game on anyone, edina played good, burnsville played good and becker played unreal. a few iffy calls from the refs and the cake eaters walk away with a state tourney invite. i guess im a little bitter

In response to some posts from a bit back:
Sure the first goal was a really weak one, but that fact that Rusty came back and played a solid game after that is a good sign that he is not as prone to nerves as thought. In quarters last year against Grand Rapids he let up a goal early and never quite recovered. made 28 saves in the win. The 2nd goal I believe was on a nice move by the burnsville player, and the 3rd goal as on a cross.

Also, yes, that was Gleason who made the turnover, I think that was the play his partner Jorgensen saved him, though I might be thinking of a different one. The kid can fly though. Was anyone else hoping he would just let loose when he was on the olympic size ice, and then there was a 4 on 4?

Iffy calls? The only iffy call was the non call on Burnsville's third goal.

And by the way Burnsville lost because Edina was the better team. Burnsvilles first goal was pretty much a gift and there third (though it was pretty) could have been called back on a trip. Also, whats with the obsession of diving and going down all the time for Burnsville? Did anyone else notice they went down to try and block alot of shots and only blocked one. Gleason and all the Edina D were pulling the puck around them and getting better shots. Also on the breakaway that got the penalty shot. Why dive when you know your not going to hit puck first?

A little bitter?? Your team played hard but they lost. There is no reason to hate on edina.

Cashetta will be the reason Edina loses a game. He is an average goalie who plays for a phenonomal team.

I know this kid and he is hardly lacking in loyalty. He grew up playing in Edina and his parents made him go to St. Thomas. He is back playing with his the kids he grew up with and they're lucky to have him back.

I heard he wanted to stay at St Thomas but he wanted to play quarterback and St Thomas wouldnt let him because they had that Schmidt kid.

I don't know about this but I do know, as a former HS quarterback, the spread offense Edina runs is a QB's dream. I think going to school with no girls at STA was probably a bigger factor in his decision to return to Edina.

honestly does it really matter how rich edina is ??? everyone (especially koho) is like "omg their all cake eaters!!!"... WHO CARES???!!! they play good hockey and i think thats a little more relevant then how much cake they eat in their free time

its not like burnsville is the ghetto, there are alot of really nice neighborhoods in burnsville with a few exceptions. your probably a cake eater yourself koho
