Wow - surprised to see Bob has half the GRG team on the list.

Of course I am going to give a little more love to my hometown team. That is what this "bored" is all about. However, I think all those girls I listed had a great tournament. I even left off a very deserving Markie DeGrio and JoHanna Kohorst.

I would make Morgan Illikainen co-MVP with Molly Arola. She scored two huge goals in the tournament, and was probably the second-best defender on the GRG team. She should've been All-State instead of Clafton.

"My Player of the Tournament goes to Andrea Green."

I'm sorry but how can you possibly choose Green as the player of the tournament. She did absolutely nothing in the first 2 games of the tournament. Yeah she had a good championship game but the player of the tournament should be someone who made contributions the WHOLE tournament, not just one game. If you choose anyone from the EP team it should deffinately be Feste. She had points in all three games including the game winner in OT in the semi-finals.

It isn't all about offense. I thought Green played outstanding in both ends of the rink. Sure, the goals came in the third game, but I thought that she was awesome in both ends all weekend. After warmups Thursday I looked at the lady next to me and said #9 is extremely underrated. She had a wonderful tournament and the goals came in the biggest game.

She is by no means extremely underated! She was E.P. best forward until she got hurt. She missed 9 games and still ended up with 40 pts. It was only a matter of time before she got her groove back! That goes to show you how really deep E.P. was. Also she is going to Boston College to play hockey on a scholarship. I dont think that is underated!

What I meant by that is Feste and Seeler had been getting all the attention and I think Green is just as good if not better. She will do great out east.

Hockeyislife26, you may want to go back and review the score sheet, but from what I remember Feste did not score in the championship. Seeler 1 goal, Ludwigson 1 goal, and Green 3 goals. I'm also quite sure you are from Chaska being that your only other post talks about how great Chaska was against Burnsville during the season when they scored a couple of quick goals. It's fairly well known in the west metro hockey circles that most of Chaska doesn't have a love a fair with Green. Sounds to me like a lot of jealousy in overall country.

it doesnt matter whether im from chaska or not. and im pretty sure that chaska isnt the only ones that have problems with eden prairie. Green has nowhere near the talent of feste and seeler. And whether she had points in the championship game or not, eden prairie wouldnt have even been in the championship if it wasnt for feste. All im saying is that i dont think that Green deserves the player of the tournament because it should symbolize the whole tournament, not just the championship game.

Too funny. Boblee, you are right, plays both ends of the ice and digs the puck out, works hard. Understandable for those in the know why she was so heavily recruited for college play. Underrated in HS as points more heavily noiced. Floating doesn't work in college hockey. Also, Boblee seems to know, college coaches could care less about points. Seems some at HS level don't understand what a power foward is. Nice kid, hard worker, strong and as gopher9 said, was on fire, having a great season until her injury. Coming back like that after missing 9 games, not bad. She is just elated to be playing hockey at all after what happened. As for Chaska, sour grapes it seems as for those in the know, she ended up in EP at U-14 since they were only team to take her so she could keep playing hockey. Chaska had no U-14 team, they went right to HS team. She went to a local K-8,Catholic grade school-Chaska said no way, can't play here and her mom wouldn't let her play Bantams. The rest is history.

I'd have to agree with all of this. Green is a great player, but I think it is a toss up between her and Feste. The fact that Green pretty much won the Champ game for them, makes her the front runner I'd say. Only thing I would like add, as I am sure Boblee is shy to, #10 from GRG was maybe the most electric player in the tourney, either level and any team!

I would have to agree with you to some extent, but I thought Erickson didn't pay her dues in the defensive end like Arola and Gallop. It seemed like they would do all the work and set her up and she would get all the glory. She is impressive though and can definately light the lamp.

Personally not a fan of the "suck hole" offense that the coach had them playing but overall GRG was a fun team to watch and Erickson in particular with her dangles and all.
