I believe he thought they were offside, but after talking to some people who watched the game on TV the replay showed they were'nt. What a great final game, had a little of everything, good & bad goaltending at times, and some very skilled players. Both teams left everything on the ice. That would have been a great state final game.

One Hibbing Fluke win in this years sections was enough.
Oh show a little respect. Both teams layed it on the line. Marshall got one to roll in. Jamnick had a brilliant chance where a puck tipped off his stick and went high but it didnt. If Hibbing was such a fluke then Marshall's a bad team because the game seemed pretty close to me. Everyone on here is congratulating both teams then you come up with this B.S. comment. Both teams played a great game and it was fun watch. I dont think either team held anything back. Congrats to Marshall on going to the X and to the Jackets dont hang your head you played your hearts out. Nice work on a fine season.

If you look at the replay it was very close to offsides. The player was onside with his right foot on the blue line and his left foot in the zone. Then at the last second he lifts his right foot off of the ice making him offside just before the puck enters the zone, but way to close to tell for sure could have been called either way.
I watched the whole game on tv and I couldn't believe how Hibbing was playing. I haven't seen either team play this year, but I just assumed that Marshall was dominant as usual.
I truly believe Hibbing controlled this game and outplayed Marshall for most of the game. A lot of penalties led to a lot of goals. Hibbing deserved this game, but once it went to overtime I thought Marshall was too good of a team to beat in that many periods.
I hope Marshall plays better at state...If it has to be another private v private final, might as well be the 'Toppers takin it home.

One thing I was hoping it would not be a replica of Hibbing versus Elk River final from either 98 or 99 dont remember but Hibbing had Travis Weber and the Elks had Paul Martin. Game went into 3 OT's with each team around 70 shots until the Elks finally scored. That was the only other game as heartbreaking as last nights.

Here we go again! The same two guys that blew it for the East/Cloquet game left there mark again at the DECC. Why do you need refs? The goal judges called both goals. The first Hibbing goal hit the water bottle in the net, red light came on and the ref waved it off. His partner was at center ice waving it off. The second Marshal goal was called by the other goal judge. The ref didn't see it go in or possibly the net coming off. Maybe if the ref without the stache leaned on that net like he did the other net during the play, the net would not have come off. It was a great game both ways. I hope the MSHSL and these refs watch the game and see their pitiful display that once again decided a game. The linesman nor the refs were ever close to line all night so missing the offside at the end is not a surprise. These guys have blown enough calls during playoff games. We are tired of watching Milinovich and Maloney down here and I bet the Rangers are tired of watching these brothers up there. All four can hang up the skates and call it a career!

He is complaining about the play being onsides. He believed it should have been offsides. The puck obviously went it, that isn't what he is complaining about.rbkhockey8 wrote:Rondo Hoppers wrote:From the Duluth News Tribune:Stateofhockey07 wrote:Anyone live up near Duluth and able to watch this on TV?
